This was absolutely phenomenal and truly put me to tears. I have just one complaint though. Grian fought scar with a sword and scar had a shield, and one of my favorite parts of the grian/scar fight is them having to duel each other with nothing on them besides their fists. and having that raw pain and connection between them, they have to beat their closest friend to the death just for a measly win. Credits to my irl bestie for this comment, it was her thought in the first place. Thought I should add it here though ❤ P. S. She said it was fine for me to :D

i started wathcing hermitcraft this year, and have only watched a bit of evo, but based of what i know so far, i like to think of watchers as ethereal beings that simply watch over servers, and only harm when needed, sometimes pulling a few pranks for fun, and that grian was that one kid who wanted to explore more, so he escaped. i dont think that the watchers would pose a threat to grian or anyone around him, but they just want him to conform back to the norm of their society, so they make frequent appearances in his new life on hermitcraft to remind him of what he left behind

In the first ever fanfic I wrote. The Watchers were a dark purple cloud shouting inside Martyn’s mind, eventually possessing him and causing him to betray Scott. The other two main characters in that story never interact with the Watchers except through Martyn. I started writing this comment and then forgot where I was going. The fanfic is called “Pluto - A Limited Life AU” on AO3 btw.
