As a filipino, i’ve been to Philippines for 3 times now & you will almost never see an African tourist anywhere. I only saw 2 in Palawan recently. & besides, we even have a festival called ati atihan & filipinos are racist while denying that an ancient tribe in Boracay were all dark skinned

Let me get to the point. Back in the 80’s and even early 90’s the American census. The American census had Pacific Islander/Filipino and another box name Asian. Until it was changed in mid 90’s that Filipino was remove away from the Pacific Islanders. The Filipino in the Philippines who have not been in the state and see the difference between the Latinos and Filipino really look very much alike. I get called all the time as Mexican and speak to me in Spanish ❤
