  I'm going to guess the answers. 1. No. You didn't have to. The training itself does that. 2. Yes but not much. 3. Maybe at first but it's got be very draining on you mentally. It wasn't "mean" anyway. They were being trained to fight and handle being in very harsh conditions. They weren't being trained to go to a Boy Scout jamboree. That must be a very difficult job. Turning coddled mama's boys into men. Especially these days when kids seem to be more coddled than ever.

  @@USMCSDI yep. I responded to another video you posted showing the entire clip. I was there in 1996. You guys did great. We came in second on final drill, May have been first but I don’t think the CO liked the “soiled panties” cadence you called. Lol.

  @@USMCSDI will do. Funny story about him. I was guide and got fired after he beat me in pugil sticks. At the end of boot camp we were marching on the parade deck and I was 4th squad leader and he was guide. I was telling him left or right as we were marching and he got mad. He turned around and spit on me, i spit on him, he then swung the guidon flag and I blocked it with my rifle. All of this happened at platoon halt. Gunny Sugiyama? saw what happened and told whoever was marching us. We just said the wind blew the guidon and I helped stop it from hitting the ground. Just one of many funny things that happened there. Me and other Marines in 2093 talk about this stuff all the time.

  My last platoon graduated in April of 1996. I was select for SSgt but decided to get out two months shy of my 10 year anniversary in May of 1997
