We heard the aft balcony has sun most of the day with very little shade. And that it’s very hot due to lack of a breeze. Was that your experience? Thanks for making this video!

Hi Andrea. I don't recall it being too sunny the entire day. We kept the curtains closed when we were in port and not using the balcony. We do this with all of our balcony cabins and sailing to warm climates. That helps keep the heat out of the room. It was a good location for us and we love the aft views. We usually sail in January when going to the Caribbean because it typically isn't super hot then. We live in FL so our definition of hot might be different than some. ;)

S108 is quite a bit smaller than S107 due to encroachment from the accessible stateroom next door, (although the deck plans do not actually show this, it is definitely the case). Both S107 and S108 are great rooms, but we always opt for S107.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, it doesn't appear that way on deck plans. We watched a few vids of both cabins and both appeared to be about the same to us. The layout seems slightly different as to be expected. I guess in person it is different? Perhaps we will have to book it to see for ourselves. It was just the two of us so we had more than enough space. We enjoyed the cruise and the ship very much. It was a fare the well to a dear friend who was an avid Princess cruiser and passed in 2021 on Caribbean Princess. His final wish was to have a sendoff from a Princess ship. Princess did a wonderful job putting it together for his husband and family. It was moving.

The difference is more apparent when you look at the bed position. In 107 there is enough space for the bed to run parallel with the adjacent cabin wall and face forward, there is not only the width of the bed against the bathroom wall, but two side cabinets and at least an extra 30cm next to the left hand side cabinet. In 108 the encroachment of the adjacent cabin means that the bed has to be placed at 90 degrees to the adjacent cabin wall, and even then it still protrudes past the bathroom wall, (as seen at point 1min 41 secs in your video). @@onceuponacruise

We are getting ready to be on the Seaside in the same room. This video was perfect. How was the room overall? I know it is near the stairs and not too far from the lifts. Was it noisy? Also, what were the choices for the liquor bottle they give you? Lastly, what flavors were available in the Italian fruit juices. TIA!

It wasn't noisy. I don't remember the flavors of the juices. Sorry. You could choose from a red wine, white wine, and I believe a hard liquor like vodka or whiskey. They sent us an email about a week prior to sailing asking us what we wanted including which newspaper (NY Times, USA Today etc) We never got the newspaper and the bar was already set up when we got in our cabin. They didn't seem to really honor the email but honestly, it didn't bother us at all. Our butler came by on the first day and he asked us what we wanted. We took a bottle of red wine. They allow you to bring in home. Since we live in FL it was easy to transport. They replenish the drinks every day but you only get one Toblerone. You will get an amazing chocolate on your pillow each night at turndown. The chocolates come from the chocolate shop on board. SO amazing. I still have some left! LOL! If you are sailing before Halloween, please look for Jean Noel in the YC dining room. He is AWESOME! He was our server most of the time. Hopefully that helps! :)

Someone asked about a special pool suite area. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a space like that for suite guests on this ship. If I'm wrong, tell me because I'm mad I missed it. LOL

Thanks! Since this is the only AI we have tried so far, we have nothing compare it to. It was very nice. I got extremely sick about 2 days into the vacation. I spent the entire time in bed. I was tested for COVID but it came back negative. Probably just a nasty flu that lasted nearly 3 weeks. All in all, we would go again. It was very nice. I just wish we didn't spend close to $7k just to get sick and not be able to do anything. My husband who remained healthy took care of me the whole time. My husband got sick the following week but his lasted a few days. I think we will stick to cruising for the most part. :)

We didn't hear any pool deck noise. Just the people on one side of us were exceptionally loud. It was an entire family.
