Could you tell me where you got the pipe, carb kit and cam?
@tandemwind3 ай бұрын
Belparts Pipe and Carb kit bought used from Portugal, but are available new from AJP Brazil. Cam is from the USA as the head is modified to take standard Honda CRF230F cam bearings. With this modification, any Honda CRF230F cam can be fitted.

CA40 board. 15.5cm Atomic Nuclear 50 degree rake weed fin. We are trying to sail in 30-40cm of water but sometimes we misjudge and get to far into the shallows. The depth changes very gradually and is mostly softish bottom, so as soon as I feel the fin dragging, I lean back. put max tilt on the board and make it spin out so I slide alone on my back. Not really recommended to do deliberately, but useful as a last resort. 🙂 Where I ended up you can see my foot has heel on the bottom and my toes out of the water. It really was only 15cm deep!! The fin is G10 and very sturdy! Lake George, South Australia

Hi one more time :) I am writing to you to warn you of a serious design flaw due to which our engine in ajp spr240 has just seized up. The crankcase breather hose is routed under the engine and not to the airbox. Because of this, while driving in muddy conditions through puddles, our engine acquired water, mud through the breather pipe. The oil turned to milk. A lot of fine sand also flew out while draining this ooze. It was not possible to rebuild because all the bearings, gearbox, crank, head, everything was melted. I advise you in advance to move the vent higher in the area of the airbox. You finally fit into the frame the engine zs169fmm 69bore x 62.2stroke or zs165fmm 65.5mm x 66.2mm which is higher?
@tandemwind6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the warning. AJP is not the first bike to employ this method of venting. My Honda 230/250 is the same. Have not heard of this issue before on those bikes. Still, I will change is as you suggest. My engine stopped with broken valve spring (ex) and bent ex valve. Squish and clearance was too small - contact between valve and piston. 😞. Engine out and being rebuilt to 300cc now. (bore and stroke to the maximum). I didnt go ahead installing the 165FMM engine as I did not get around to modifying the top frame brace. I may have to anyhow with the rebuilt engine as we may need a cylinder spacer to make it higher like the 165FMM.

You will kill this cylinder head! With this modification there is no oil flow thru the camshaft!! Take a look carefully!! Oil should flow into the camshaft from non driven end and then came out thru holes under the lobes. Your modification of the head for a new camshaft with two bearings does not take into account the oil channel by which the oil should go inside the camshaft!!! After couple of minutes of riding lobs and rockers will be messed up totally!! Type in google graphic "xr200 oil system diagram" , this is how it works when using this type of camshaft with two berings !!! EDIT: Ok, now I see that you modified the oil passages after publishing the video. This could confuse many users of this engine and lead to many failures. Maybe it would be better to modify the video itself or remove it? For the benefit of the humanity :)

Hi one more time :) I am writing to you to warn you of a serious design flaw due to which our engine in ajp spr240 has just seized up.
