Such a great trip man!
👍🏻
He's a wealth of information. I have a hammock, but still haven't used it.
I was the same. I’m going to try it. We will see. 😂✌️
I'm a subscriber and this has nothing to do with your channel which is splendid but my messages are disappearing on KZread. The algorithm makes it more than a little hard to get involved most of the time unfortunately, this one stays up somehow so I will take a moment to address the issue. I have relevant questions but I can hardly write anything and it gets taken down. Anyway, here's to a more free platform, in my opinion. Great video crow. I will get the Flextail if it will keep me warm in the mountains, of which I have yet to see. Cheers
Thanks so much my friend! Sorry to hear your comments are disappearing. That is crazy. But, thanks for watching the video. Crow✌️
charger dont work
Home sweet home.
Hammocks are daunting! Great beginner info! Learned a lot!
I bought multiple cheap hammocks on Amazon trying out different features before I spent a decent amount on a hammock with the features I wanted. Possibly the next time I upgrade it will be to a hammock with an integrated underquilt.
You went to the right guy for good info! The learning curve is so worth the comfort.
I've been curious about trying hammock camping but totally ignorant. This is loaded with information. Will be referring back to this a lot. Thanks so much for this!
Hobbs cabin was built by Joe hobbs in the early 1900's!
Lots of history there. ✌️
👍😀✝️
Perfect!
🙏
I just saw some guy online showing it doesn’t work?? He had it on and they were biting him all over the place ??
Do you have the link? I would like to see that. It has worked for me. ✌️
This was a great interview! 🦑
Thanks Squidly! ✌️
Thanks Brad! I may try hammocking again?
You should. Is it a big thing in Japan?
Love the pad but how in earth does it ever fit back in the bag!?
Yeah, it is a tight fit. ✌️
Beautiful video 👍👍👌👌
🙏
Been hangin for years and have no plans to go back to tents. For the very few times that I can't hang my hammock, I sewed 550-cord loops to the bottom corners for stakes.
Good idea on cord loops. Thanks for watching this. ✌️
My setup is a tarp and net tent from a pyramid tent I had. But I’m in Texas now so considering going to a free standing tent to keep the snakes out.
That is a good option sometimes when there are no places for stakes. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
Welcome aboard brother! My setup consists of an 11’, 1.6 Hyper “D” Dutchware Chameleon hammock and Warbonnet Thunder Fly tarp Becket Hitch suspension and various quilts. In case you wanted to know what works for me.😁 I’m gonna have to check out Jason at Walhalla Hammocks. Thanks for the video and I hope you enjoy your evolution. 👍🏼
I've tried hammocks but I'm still a ground sleeper
I’m gonna give it a try. ✌️
Jasons gear looks great! Any chance he will be at Pinhoti fest?
Good question. I’ll ask him. Maybe so.
Well done. Always good to have info before you buy. Look forward to see what you take on your next adventure. Thanks Crow.
What's that handle on your water bottle? Looks like a great idea to make it easier to handle!
I can’t remember what it is called. It broke and I haven’t replaced it. But, it is good for a day hike, just to put on your belt.
It’s a learning curve but trust me…. Take your time and do it right. Try different Hammocks. It’s honestly the best part and when you get it you’ll know it. I’m 53 also and I’ll never go back to a tent. I plan trips FOR the Hammock to go 😂
Good to hear. Yeah, this has been a great process. There is so much into this process. I want to do it right. Thanks for watching it. 🙏
Yes! Glad to see you are gonna give hammocking a try. It's my fav way to sleep while backpacking. Is my hammock setup a few ounces heavier than my ground setup? Yes. Is it worth it? Again, yes. I sleep like a baby, vs my back spasming on every mat I have tried. I've been eyeing Dutch and Superior's insulated hammocks to get my setup even more dialed in.
Appreciate you watching this video. Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah, lots to learn in this process. After meeting Jason, I trust him with my choices on it. He really works with people to make sure they get what they need in a hammock. ✌️
Heck Yea!! Welcome to the dark side. Let me know if you get a set up and have any questions or want to do a hang. I've got a new hammock on the way that I cant wait to try out.
Yeah, I may have some questions my friend. Hope all is well. ✌️
Height and shoulder width are big factors in hammock camping. Taller you are the longer you need it. Wider you are the wider it needs to be and you might prefer a bridge style like I do. I tried a few and settled on the ridgerunner but there are a few others. Bridge does add about a pound over the reg hammock due to the poles; you can get carbon ones though.
Excellent points. Appreciate you watching this. Crow✌️
Great tutorial brotha!
That's such a cool area.
It’s a great place to explore. ✌️
Does it ever not rain on a trip Taylor goes on?! 😂 Greeter falls looks FANTASTIC! Nice one Crow!
😂😂😂 Thanks my friend. This was a great trip. ✌️
Beautiful is that in Alabama?
This is Tennessee, in between Knoxville and Chattanooga ✌️
Only 5280 feet, vertically. Plus back and forth moving the camera, etc. Yeah, you got a work out. Bravo sir, thanks.
😂😂😂
I could hear that breathing on those steps 😁 Really cool area Crow 👍🏻👍🏻
😂😂😂
I can see you know nothing about the senior hiker discount. When you have a steep climb like that Taylor must carry your pack up the climb. LOL! Happy Hiking
😂😂😂
Sounded like an obscene phone call at the end with all that heavy breathing. LOL. Thanks for sharing that cool feature.
😂😂😂…just keeping it real. I barely made it. 😊✌️
I felt that burn just watching. Whew😅
Oh yeah! 😂✌️
That is a really cool feature!
It’s is cool place Mark. Loved it out there. Hope you are well my friend. ✌️
Maravilha de conteúdo 💚 🙌🇧🇷 então super joinha 👍 Lhe desejo uma belíssima abençoada semana Deus abençoe grandemente 🙏
Thanks so much! ✌️
You are the mountains 🏔 🐐.
😂✌️
Great video, you sounded better than me if I was in your place. Sloth 🦥
😂✌️
👍👍
😊✌️
😀👍✝️
Appreciate ya! ✌️
A very nice hike. I really enjoyed Greeter Falls. Beautiful area!
Yeah, that falls is majestic. It is huge. Great place. When you come this way, I’ll take you there. 👍🏻
Beautiful nature my friend
Thank you! 🙏
What a fun challenge. Congratulations. I still haven't pushed over 30 miles yet.
This was a cool challenge. The elevation wasn’t extreme. So, it was manageable. It’s a great new trail in Chattanooga
Would love to come east and experience that hike... But I'm pretty sure I will never be able to see Ranger Falls without laughing out loud now 😅. That cracked me up.
😂✌️ Yeah, I just had to add that in there. 😂
Sally’s worst nightmare 😂😂. We had to cheerlead her across or carry her … by the end of the trip she was an expert at low & fast 🤣
😂✌️
Very Indiana Jones, cool.
I thought the same thing. 😂✌️
it's such a good bivy. I use it with my 7 x 9 zpacks dyneema and it works a treat. I had one bust near a tie out and they replaced it no questions asked.
They seem like a great company. Good to hear their customer service is excellent!
