    For the greater good baby! I’m all for minuet details. Where you left off with is perfect for a future Farsight Enclave study. The relationship of Farsight and Shadowsun is great lore. As a Tau player I can confirm they’re weebs. My fav episodes so far have been Primarchs but overall I just look forward to hearing you two talk 40k each week. Thanks for all the great episodes!

    Iirc, it's even more impressive than that but the explanation can't fit in a short properly (or at least this is the version i read about/listened to in one of the audiodramas BL put out): in the initial stages of the Word Bearers attack, it was through stealth, so it started with outposts going silent. He wanted to investigate but was still censured and didn't have any men. He went to the garrison commander, asked for men, commander decided to be a dick and tell him that he wouldn't give him any of his men but if he could find some on his own he'd give them a ship. So homeboy here went to all the other ultramarines in the outpost that were there awaiting censure from other misdeeds (this was at the legion's peak of being rules obsessed so things like misfiling paperwork would get you censured), got a team of volunteers, and went investigating. The Word Bearers (and some Alpha Legion) were killing Ultramarines and repainting their armor to blend in and ambush any other smurf patrols but the plan eventually failed because none of the infiltrators were red-marked, but everyone on the investigation team was. The good guys throw a wrench in their stealth plan by playing a quick game of Shirts and Skins, bring the news to the garrison, the rest of the garrison leaders recognize their efforts and honor them by everyone in the garrison readying for war by painting parts of their armor red like the Red-Marked. Also, the red mark of censure would be applied to different parts of their armor depending on the kind of violation they had committed, so the red helmet was to signify a kind of Bad Thought (in this case brother killing brother)

    The Emperor had made a lot of enemies. Many of the subjugated world conquered in the Great Crusade were resentful of their loss and the tithes they had to pay. The Emperor also treated most if not all of the primarchs like the tools and the weapons he created them to be and that caused a lot of daddy issues for them, making it easier to turn against their creator. Add to the mix the chaos gods looking to take advantage of any weakness on the part of the Emperor and you have the perfect recipe for a civil war.

    Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night By Dylan Thomas (what he referenced at about 33 minutes in, my favorite poem) Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light

  • @AceTaxiaGaming
    @AceTaxiaGamingАй бұрын

    The poem is about dying but not going peacefully, you know you are dying but you will not give in even with that certainty instead of lying down and taking the inevitability. There is no escaping the staff but there is pushing against it even if it is futile is the latest dying but you can rage rage against it
