I am a competitive Pokémon VGC player. In my years of competing, I've won five Regional Championships and two National Championships. I also placed 3rd at the 2013 World Championships and 8th at the 2012 World Championships. Throughout my career, I've qualified for nine World Championships.
I am also a commentator for the Pokémon Company International and have casted several major tournaments, including the 2016, 2018, and 2019 World Championship Finals.
I started uploading on KZread in 2014 to spread my knowledge and love for Pokémon VGC. I focus on high level, in-depth analysis & commentary to help my viewers improve. I hope you can learn something from me while you're here!

That game 3 is EXACTLY WHY I don't use boosting moves on ANY of my teams. That was so disheartening seeing you use 2 turns of Trick Room to boost up accuracy and defense only to be crit and lose all that progress. That suuucks

I was shocked by how weak that Behemoth Blade was. I know it didn't have its boost, but it looked like it only did about 30% to Bloodmoon.

In Game 2, wasn't Freeze Dry a safe option onto Miraidon since the opponent wasted their Tera on Tsareena, especially in 23:15? I don't know the calcs, but maybe the extra power from STAB would be enough to OHKO the Miraidon (instead of 160 power from weakness to Earth Power, Freeze Dry would've been 210 factoring in STAB and weakness). It also would've punished a Pelipper switch in.
I feel like Aaron did everything right game 1, but probably still loses if hypnosis misses? That's probably why Kyurem hasn't popped up much in regionals

I saw in one of your videos a mewtwo team and thought I'd take a crack at a Mewtwo team myself, having it with Life Orb + Indeedee has been really fun to ladder with, for fun, I slapped Sunny Day on Whimsicott and Solar Beam to surprise Groudons and Kyogre's on ladder (if theyre not running Scarf that is LOL) Keep up the good content Aaron!

Seeing how lucky sleep turns can basically win you the game, how do you guys feel about pokemon waking up as soon as they recieve damaging move?

Of course they would need to buff it in some way, like decreasing the defenses of asleep mons or increasing accuracy
This team was a lot of fun to run! I actually just ran this team at LA regionals and i had a blast. Didnt finish too well but i think it was more of a player issue than a team issue since i just ran out of gas at the end of the day and just forgot how to deal with my bad matchups.
It seems like this team has a ridiculous skill ceiling. It seems like it can win but you really have to outplay your opponents. I would think it would be hard to keep that sharpness all day while your opponents just click op moves
