if your growing tomatoes this is great if your growing weed use a lose potting soil and if its organic you dont need to ph because the life in the soil and the plant it self will regulate the ph around the root zone this has been scientifically proven to +or- 1 point of ph myco is great if you know if you need endo or ecto for the type of plant or tree your growing dont waste your money on these expensive soils that cost between 15-35$ for a cubic foot just go with the cheap it dose the same thing at 5-12$ and some worm castings or compost if your useing organic amendments you are going to have to have a living soil or added biology to your soil or the amendments will not get broke down and there for starve your plants i hope this helps because these vids where people act like they know what you should use and never propagated any plants and if you plant your seed strait in any of these they will 100% stunt your weed especially if you grow auto flower they are on a timer so you dont have time to fix the stunted growth like a photoperiod the only one up there that is actually good is the build a soil it literaly comes as a finished soil you have to add nothing its a water only soil the only one that is worth the money on this list they also have a lite version which is also a water only soil for lite feeding plants or auto flowers and for all of you who have used and organic soil its got bugs so how do i get rid of these bugs well its easy (mosquito bits) it is in fact just a bacteria that is safe for you pets and fish so this bacteria eats the chitin in the shell of the bugs and it also attacks the eggs of said bugs as well and it works fast a week at most and then your bugs are gone not your biology and you did not even have to hit it with some chems or other poison

The OF+HF combo with FF trio really did well when I was starting out. It really carried the grow until I learned more about plant nutrition. Though I have since moved into other mediums, I still have a soil setup and use this regime of products in it. I would definitely pick up a cal-mag to add to the FF trio for when you will need it, and getting a low-high-high(NPK) flower booster has improved the scenario as well. You dont have to know it all at once. Just make sure you are getting things that play well together. The soils is pricey, but I have reused the same OF+HF soil many times over for the things alive in it. You can just keep screening it for roots and move right on.

The last two years I have been using Coast of Maine Stonington Blend as my base. I like a nice diversity in my garden media. I do use some BAS ingredients to basically make my own version of their 3.0. I'm a very big fan of Craft Blend! Two other ingredients that go into my base are the Montana Grow Volcanic silica and the pumice that they sell. I always cook my media before use. I add all my amending ingredients, with some intended to feed the microbes and fungi. When I pot up a bag or an Earthbox, that media is highly active microbially and fungally. This last batch that I made, in addition to my normal compost T to inoculate everything, I added BAS product called RootWise and brewed it for the last four hours of the compost tea brewing. It definitely made a difference in the root intrusion into the nutrient mound of my Earthboxes. I have a set amount of ingredients that forms the nutrient mound. Same strain same tent same light, the root intrusion into the nutrient bound occurred far quicker than it has before. The root intrusion is how I gage the timing when a second top dressing to the nutrient mound is needed. I definitely hand to change my schedule. Naturally, with bigger roots, you're going to have a bigger plant and that's what occurred. I also had to flip sooner than anticipated.
