What a sweet round and great research . Thanx.
I think it’s crazy. I tried looking for a tool I saw before and now I can’t find it all. I find her these weird star punchers there was one that would make a perfect round one with maybe a little bit of an edge at the end now I can’t find it. I’m afraid these things are gonna make a chain fire.
Once in a great while the stars are aligned and a very useful KZread video drops from the heavens. This is one. For the record one needs the "Colt Short D frame grips" and I appreciate you sharing the information with us. Thanks!
Since you did not show us how you get a .375" ball crammed into a .357" inside diameter case. My '51 conversion is the original .375" bore and I use a heel bullet. Works fine shoots good.
the bore of a 1861 is .375, the round ball even smaller in diameter will still give it an A zone accuracy even at 25 yards like a smooth bore pistol since the round ball has very little bearing surface it will not tumble thus no key holing..but!! if you put a .357 diameter bullet in a .375" bore you will for surely get key holes, and due to you tubes strict policy of loading lead into a cartridge case i am forced to skip the reloading part of the video thank you for watching and your valued comment.
Nice video and informative. I understand double clutch, probably a dying breed. My dad taught me when I was 16 in the 60’s and driving our 41 ton and a half flat head loaded with pulp. So, I’m assuming soft lead, what lube if you remember? What about leading driving a 451 down a .440 bore? Thanks for your video. I’ll check out more of your videos possibly more info there. O.R.
range scrap seats more tighter for accuracy better shot to shot spread.
I really hope them tools help you on your “classic” journey
these tools are just what the doctor ordered and I'm grateful to you my good friend.
My friend I am so sorry for all the bad stuff going on in your life I am praying for you
Appreciate the video, my ejector spring broke in my 357 X after about 200 rounds. Was a little hesitant to install the replacement without seeing it done first. Thanks!
Oh my. I'm sorry for the your loss. This has been a trying time for you. You are in my prayers. As for the truck, oh man this is a sticky one. Classic car/truck enthusiasts may give quite a bit for it. Perhpas more than insurance. Let us know how it goes. And those pnumatics! Wow great gifts.
thank you my brother, as any hurdle life throws at us we hit them head on with resources that combat these issues so that we can move on and continue are routine on a day to day bases...thanks again my ole friend.

Sorry to hear. You've had some tough times .
James it's also an honor to to hear from. You as well, it's been too long I know, the truck videos and projects have kept me from the shooting and reloading portion of my channels theme, working 12hrs days and being in my 60s now puts me in a limited capacity I'm still doing g videos but not at record pace like before..thanks again good friend.

GOD BLESS You. And may you have peace. Hang in there Big Daddy.
thank you so much.
I may have mist it, but what was your lead/ alloy mixture ?
Thankyou.😊
You should try Ballistol. Great for cleaning, non toxic and does not hurt wood or other materials.
The finished rounds appear to have no crimp? Is that just me or did you skip crimping the rounds?
What grain of bullet
the bullet was made by a RCBS 115gn mold that weight out at 125gn once casted.
utube will ding me for demonstrating trigger modifications it is a violation of their policy, so i can only illustrate by verbal instructions without taking the gun apart, so i removed the parkerizing off the moving and rubbing parts and it was able to allow the parts to make metal to metal contact vs parkerize to metal contact.
just bought one and one cylinder locks up every time (same one ) would like to see a video of what you did to it.
With his file trimmer, in about ten years, you will have a box of fifty brass cases.
This is over 5 years old so you can watch my other videos with the lee case trimmer.
How do you guys feel about steel cleaning rods V plastic, aluminum etc?
Would anyone recommend a field strip and clean w oil of your virgin Henry before first firing?
a wipe down and a barrel swab is good enough out of the box.
Will this work on Taylor cylinder fitting in umberty 1858
unbelievably these cylinders are not compatable with different brand named revolvers, when purchacing make sure it is designed for that brand of revolver Uberti and pietta are not compatatble with each other.
Any links on bolt disassembly. My 9 year old big boy 45c started having ejection issues. Called Henry, no help… nothing on net …… I field strip and clean after each use. But bolt had obvious carbon build up I couldn’t get at ( extractor etc ). Needs disassembly …..or chemical cleaning ? Any suggestions ? Thanks
When you punch aluminum cans do the paint side on the outside. They come with instructions now and that’s what mine says to do. It makes sense when you think about it too cause the paint fragments won’t go in the gun I didn’t even think about it until I read the instructions
the mixture is gonna be placed on the paint side, when fired, the cap will expand outward along with the blast which will take any foreign material along with it, only the burnt carbon will be left to cause any binding, the paint it self will be atomized by the blast, all of mine go bang everytime.
Enjoyed your excellent video and love your demeanor. I inherited a blue Rossi 38spc 2-inch Model 27 made in 1967 from my father. My dad had put those same Pachmayr grips on, and they fit my hand and the gun perfectly with no gap. They also look great, much better than the original brownish skinny plastic grips. By the way those Pachmayr grips now sell for $45-50 depending on where you buy them.
Thank you, I had a lot of nay sayers about the gap, I simply said heat them up and the will form to the grip nicely.
how the hell can you say rugers warranty is free?the return goods authorizationcost you what150 dollars?tyhat to me is no warranty at all. i will never buy another ruger piece of shit ever again
Nice! I used to live in a very large aircraft hangar at an airport. The sound of aircraft was constant, didn't really notice it after a while. Nice to work on your own vehicle.
Morning Mike I only notice the noise from planes trains and automobiles, sounds like a movie, only when I'm doing something like video recording.
I have that same Harbor Frieght ohm meter! Good to see you out there. Looks like it was beautiful day! Best to you.
We had a heavy storm Saturday and it turned my truck bed into a swimming pool again, but Sunday was a gem if a day and was able to make the video, brother I have many acquaintances in texas sounds like the place to be.
@@leadbullets4life Well we just had 2 major floods and 2 separate tornados come through the area. Everyplace has it's trade-offs.

Rock auto. My best friend!
aaah of course!
Is the threading on the ejection rod reversed, or is it the filming reversed. Your loosening, and tightening of the rod seemed to be in the leftie tighty, righty loosey methodology. Can you correct or confirm?
this is the correct method turn clock wise.
Thanks for the info👍 me and my dad are trying to get into reloading.38 special and love your videos
Thank you zzorro I know you and dad are gonna be closer because of these reloading projects.
Were you charging the cases by ear?! Holy hell those speeds are off.
Each load was hand loaded from a scale, this happens with others loading the charge, h 110 works this higher charges.
I did that job once probably about 30 years ago ironically on a 1976 highboy !! ❤❤
So the radius arm is supported by a bracket with 3 nut and bolts then there that rivet bolt which I left alone the forward bushing can still hold on a bit longer until I decide to bust the rivets and replace them with nuts and bolts.
Mornin' double clutch!! 😂❤❤😂
Morning my friend good to hear from you enjoy your Monday it's 6 am here right now and just stepping into work.
Nice!
Morning Mike working under any vehicle is pretty awkward and uncomfortable but I got it done, we had rain on Saturday but cleared up enough on Sunday enjoy your Monday sir.
Oh nice creeper!
thanks David i didn't know you would be up this late.
I would think if you have a progressive Dillon like the 650 you could just adjust your powder measure height and change out the seating and crimping die it should work fine.
I have the Dillon 550 B , it's not about loading for quantity it's about loading for quality.
miked a few bullets from each sizing decapping die and they are very different.
You need a centurion length recoil spring to make it work. The full length spring will bind up and not allow the slide to lock open.
The spring issue was rectified 2 years ago and it is a sweet shooter, so don't let anyone tell you that a slide and caliber conversion is not possible, I'm living proof it works, I have more videos on the subject thanks for watching.

what the hell , the reason they call it the navy is because it is case harden , most the guns are case harden ,The standard cylinder featured an engraved scene of a naval battle. The Navy designation meant it was 36 caliber. 44 Caliber were known as Army, but both terms are merely convenient marketing designations.
yes they were adopted in .36 caliber the army used the .44 cal but and the army also had them in 36 cal as well, they were used during the texas and mexican navel battle, now the original name of this revolver was called the "ranger"colt was trying to capitalize the name hoping they would increase sales, and they basically the 1861 was an improved version of the 1861.
