I have never considered Neo Mag before, but you make it an attractive option. I'm heading to the Neo Mag site. It will be better than what I do now which is simply putting a spare mag in one of my cargo pockets loose.

@@Schizophrenic-Clown No, I used enamel paint. Most folks use acrylic, but I have enamel, so that's what I went with. I filled the cavity with the paint, let it dry, then wiped away the excess with a cloth with alcohol on it. Easy peezy. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks so much for watching !

The only thing I found out after leaving mags in heat the springs don't have the same tension so the slide dosent lock back after I stretched the spring out it did start locking back normal but I'm a little nervous too carry now.....wondering if anyone els has this issue....(2 mags my standard 10 round and my backup 15 rounder)

@@Hispanialegionary I haven't heard of that one yet, but there's all kinds of craziness with these models. For the most part they seem to work well, but when you get a lemon, it can really be a doozy. Check out our two other videos on the Shield Plus if you want to see what I mean. LOL As for the slide not locking back, are you actually likely to go through the entire magazine in a self-defense situation ? Even if you did, I think you would realize when there was no more ammo to fire, and that it was time to change to a new mag. Personally I think it would be okay, but I can also understand the reservations. I'll leave that one up to you.

Thank you for posting an excellent review of the Shield + PC. I really like this firearm and until I watched your video it was at the top of my list for a first-time gun purchase. You can imagine my disappointment after hearing about the abysmal S&W customer support - which for me is a "show stopper." At this point I will probably buy one of the Sig P365s.

You should check out our video on the PC version ! Things got MUCH worse. 😆 We have both the M&P Sport ll & the Sport lll, and have experienced no problems...yet. LOL I don't believe everything they do is trash nowadays, but you don't really know what you're going to get, you know ?

When I became intrigued into the gun hobby/ self defense I had a hard time understanding how guns in general worked/ even understanding calibers. As I wasn’t raised in a family that owned guns. I think it’s something many new comers can relate to. I remember some questions I had during my process. Ik there’s lots of videos out there that could answer these questions but even then I found it hard finding one that could thoroughly explain them. Bullet sizes can certain bullets sizes be used in pistol and rifles? Red dots how can I correctly aim/ zero my red dot Shotguns! The difference in shotgun ammo? What to do during a jam! Co witnesses sights on red dot? Just a few questions I remember having some may be simple and obvious to some but for new shooters Ik it could help them.

I personally think that the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus is one of the greatest EDC pistols of all-time. And I just luv the trigger on it. Me and the Wife both carry it everyday.

The Shield Plus Optic Ready for $399 is a much better deal than the Performance Center at like $519. For $120 less you get night sights and an optic cut at the cost of a few non factor port holes and a slightly improved trigger.

@@whatwouldlewdo I mean, yes to each their own, but it's objectively a better deal at $399 + night sights + optic cut when compared to the actual barrel porting they did (it's not a good port compared to what is typical on the market). You'd be far better off buying the $399 shield, purchasing the new sear for $50, sending it off for barrel porting for $200 and having a MUCH better PC that's already optic cut. You'd spend the same as you would by buying the PC first and sending for an optic cut, but you'd end up with a significantly better port and pretty much the same exact trigger. Easy decision.

It's pretty much essential to the gun functioning properly. 😛 As for the issues I've had, I had trigger issues, I had finish issues, I had trouble loading the final round into both the 10 and 13, and a nightmare of a time getting the pistol back from S&W in working condition. Apparently some folks have them that are more like a slide release (such as mine) and some that are more like a slide stop. You never know what you're going to get with S&W.

@@wahiawabound808 We built the X-Crackro ourselves. I love their coyote tan, and when I decided to get one of these, I knew I had to find a way. LOL I'm fairly confident that Sig has an X-Macro in coyote tan in the works for the future. They've done it for just about every other model, so why not this one too ? I was just think u should get that 15rd mag with that plastic spacer that comes with it u should get a full size 17rd 9mm mag and put that spacer on the 17 and see how it looks and let me know if it works that would b sweet as heck coming from.a 13 to 17 l man that would b sweet as heck if not it's ok ud stil get ur 15rd on top of one in pipe so 16 altogether lol.

When I became intrigued into the gun hobby/ self defense I had a hard time understanding how guns in general worked/ even understanding calibers. As I wasn’t raised in a family that owned guns. I think it’s something many new comers can relate to. I remember some questions I had during my process. Ik there’s lots of videos out there that could answer these questions but even then I found it hard finding one that could thoroughly explain them. Bullet sizes can certain bullets sizes be used in pistol and rifles? Red dots how can I correctly aim/ zero my red dot Shotguns! The difference in shotgun ammo? What to do during a jam! Co witnesses sights on red dot? Just a few questions I remember having some may be simple and obvious to some but for new shooters Ik it could help them.

The performance center is a little more but you get what you pay for it's very accurate
@@idpagroup6525 Oh, I know. That was the one that I liked the most, but it was non-stop problems, and S&W couldn't straighten it out after two times, and that took six months. 😏

@@whatwouldlewdo 300blk (400rds) and 308 sabre with maybe 250, so haven't gotten them out as much, but no issues with any of them yet.
@@KYLEOME I've seen a lot of folks using the 300 blk, but that ammo is steep. LOL I was thinking about maybe trying their Micro Dagger and see if it's a good option for folks on a budget (even though I loathe the Glock platform).
@@whatwouldlewdo I got the 300 sighted and broken in, it just sits there cus that's a richer man's round. I used a dagger, it's OK not a yay or a nay. I'll said their 5.7 rock was fun too

I personally think that the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus is one of the greatest EDC pistols of all-time. And I just luv the trigger on it. Me and the Wife both carry it everyday.
I thought so in the beginning. That was until I got hold of the Performance Center model. Lord help you if you ever need to use their warranty. 😆

Wha--? No way ! I loved the way this one looked ! However, it was my first time, so I suppose it could have used some improvements. Then again, the engravings could have been subpar. I have seen that happen.
@whatwouldlewdo just lightly rub a cotton ball lightly lightly damp with rubbing alcohol over it a few times and it'll be perfect.
@@jimmysp4des229 Oh, I know. I've done it a few times since then, but I actually don't have this slide anymore. S&W changed it out for a new one, and since the finish on it was crappy, I haven't bothered making it look nice again. Maybe if I end up getting it refinished.
The Shield Plus Optic Ready for $399 is a much better deal than the Performance Center at like $519. For $120 less you get night sights and an optic cut at the cost of a few non factor port holes and a slightly improved trigger.

@@whatwouldlewdo I mean, yes to each their own, but it's objectively a better deal at $399 + night sights + optic cut when compared to the actual barrel porting they did (it's not a good port compared to what is typical on the market). You'd be far better off buying the $399 shield, purchasing the new sear for $50, sending it off for barrel porting for $200 and having a MUCH better PC that's already optic cut. You'd spend the same as you would by buying the PC first and sending for an optic cut, but you'd end up with a significantly better port and pretty much the same exact trigger. Easy decision.
How does your mag go in so easy mines extremely hard to push in

It's pretty much essential to the gun functioning properly. 😛 As for the issues I've had, I had trigger issues, I had finish issues, I had trouble loading the final round into both the 10 and 13, and a nightmare of a time getting the pistol back from S&W in working condition. Apparently some folks have them that are more like a slide release (such as mine) and some that are more like a slide stop. You never know what you're going to get with S&W.
X crackro but i have the black one they didn't have the brown one when i bought mine but my glock x19 is in the brown color i still prefer my sig.😂😂
@@wahiawabound808 We built the X-Crackro ourselves. I love their coyote tan, and when I decided to get one of these, I knew I had to find a way. LOL I'm fairly confident that Sig has an X-Macro in coyote tan in the works for the future. They've done it for just about every other model, so why not this one too ? I was just think u should get that 15rd mag with that plastic spacer that comes with it u should get a full size 17rd 9mm mag and put that spacer on the 17 and see how it looks and let me know if it works that would b sweet as heck coming from.a 13 to 17 l man that would b sweet as heck if not it's ok ud stil get ur 15rd on top of one in pipe so 16 altogether lol.
I just found bunch that add +4 or +2 u put on the mag but I just found something else too kinds sweet lookin I want one but i don't want one idk lol 😂 but a charging handle for that pistol.and for glocks too
