Vinegar is the WORST thing to use on cotton canvas, it is acidic, especially the cleaning type, and will attack and degrade organic matter like natural cotton.

Hi there. Wanting to travel from Brisbane to Alice springs on August. Just a quick question on ur trip between alice to boulia. What was ur tyre pressure and what sort of speed were you traveling? Seems like u did it in one day? August only has abt 11hrs of day light if lucky. Do u think possible to get through to Alice before gets dark? Any advice would be helpful:) thanks
@@mission2mas hi mate, yeah I did the plenty Highway on about 20 psi. It's around about 700k and I did it at around about 100k an hour which is probably not recommended. But the conditions were actually pretty good at the time so I wasn't too concerned. But the road there can get a bit dicey at times. I made it in just one day as you suggested. There are places you can stop along the way which you can find on wiki camps but I chose not to stay at them as they looked a bit bland and boring and I just ended up staying in bullia as you saw. Good luck with the journey mate. It's a really nice one and there's plenty of awesome stuff to see on the way.

How is garmin traffic on this gps? Does it show roadworks too?

@@4WheelsOnTheRoad i now have the overlander but it wont support traffic.. i love garmin gps but i need traffic and roadworks because they are opening a lot of roads and i constandly need to reroute..
@@Billyboy2a6 yeah they do traffic really well, it suggests optional routes before you get to it as well and depending on your settings you can have this and may other prompts or warnings active or disabled
After the vinegar and dry you spray with water and wipe down? Do you scrub?
Hi mate. I just do it all in the Sun and let it dry by the Sun cuz what you trying to kill is the mould spores themselves. So if you've also got a breeze that's kind of helpful as well

Is there a way to remove tings like the dog tracker?
yep in the menu. If you dont have the tracker it should not be enabled anyway, it is a 'feature' so not something that is designed to annoy you or forefully be disable, to check it, Select Apps. Select Adventure Select Dog Tracking The Dog Tracking icon will now be on the home screen with a green check mark.

Bleach maybe but to be honest I don’t know, I have been using vinegar on every canvas tent I have had for years now with zero problem

Hey mate, Garmin help assistant I spoke to re voice command obviously did not know unit. I had speach on UK English and no voice command. Changed to English Australian and now voice command works. Sorry for wrong comment the other day.

Just purchased this unit. It appears the voice access requests have been removed in Australia now. Garmin help in Australia confirmed this to me.

How do you sync the tracks and waypoints between the Tread Device and your phone? Can you make a ’forced sync’? Or do the two devices make random syncs? I’ve not been able to find a way to force a sync yet.
