did the switch need to be double pole to run both hots through it? my diagram that came with my lift only shows using one of the hots to go through the limit switch and also inline with the manual shut off switch same wire. i am about to do a rough wire up to run the pump and bleed the cylinders. still looking for a manual cutoff switch to use.

Hello, I'm seeking assistance with my BMW N55 engine, which is experiencing wastegate issues. Initially, the engine runs smoothly upon start-up. However, upon connecting an in/Hg gauge to the wastegate, it reads 5 in/Hg. Surprisingly, at idle around 700 RPM, the gauge jumps to 11 in/Hg. Any guidance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated the

I've always liked working with 2 post in-ground hydraulic lifts back in the day. Nothing beats being able to open a car door fully lol. I had to get a floor plate lift because my ceiling is only 11' and won't accommodate a clear floor model. IMO It's still far better then rolling round on the floor. I ended up added foam weather stripping to all the places that I have noted the doors hitting on the columns. Ironically, the big rubber pad on the carriages have never come into contact with any doors so far lol.

I see this connection every place on you tube but I also see a barb fitting often used to connect to black pipe. IF it is ok to use barb on connection why is it not ok to use on a splice ? Also if the main lines are heated and pushed together to bond would that not be better?

Thank you! I had the same problem! All that work thinking your doing an upgrade to the car, just to go.back and install the stock one. It's a joke! I'll be sure to go leave a trash review on the product, these are being sold for so many different model cars, I got mine for a n55 535i bmw engine, and wow, trash!! Same exact problem, rich conditions due to inconsistent boost pressures and jumpy / hesitant power. I agree, piston is far too small. I have a boost gauge old school and a vacuum gauge teed into my wastegate for live veiw, and needle was bouncing all over The one I received from mamba tek was the same exact thing. They DO have other good products though, not everything they sell is trash at all. It's just not all capable of what they claim.

It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one! I used their fitting on my oil pan and I've used gaskets/flanges and other small stuff from them too with no issues. I don't trust them with moving parts anymore!

Will these downpipes pass smog tests? Will they throw check engine lights? I am not planning on tuning my ST but I have read that you can pick up a good amount of performance by changing these out. Thanks!

  • @ShawnFerret

You would have to reach out to FenFab for a verified answer on this. We drove around after installing them, prior to re-tuning and they didn't set a Check Engine Light.

I have the same Atlas lift and the cheap contacts inside the contactor intermittently welded shut! This kept the motor & lift running until it hit the upper bar limit switch. You mentioned that you installed the emergency shutoff in case the up button sticks, well it’s not just the button that could stick and in my case it was the cheap contacts in the white relay contactor. The contacts melted together.

My 17’ focus ST is super low on coolant ( about an inch under the low marker on the expansion tank) just noticed it when leaving work tonight. Can’t smell anything in the exhaust so that’s good. Just gonna top it off and check it until I can get the car into the dealership (155k miles, first time having any issues with coolant) hope it’s simple as replacing a line. Nice video, glad you guys found the source.

Jealous!! The fans are just a generic 72” indoor/outdoor unit with a reversible DC motor from Home Depot. They were on sale at the time for $200 but are now discontinued. I would imagine they have something updated in the sub-$300 range. These have been working great for 3+ years and run continuously in the winter months.
