  • @thescrapbookschool
    @thescrapbookschool7 күн бұрын

    Thanks! Slice is like a cookie cutter. You put one shape on top of another and cut it out. Since this video was published, there’s a new function called “Subract” which is in the Combine menu on the Layers panel or under Actions on the app. It works the same way as Slice, but you can punch out more than one shape at a time. I have a new video which explains it called “5 Must-Try Cricut Design Space Features” that comes out today (Saturday, 8 pm Eastern). Let me know if you still have questions!

    This is a dilemma that a lot of scrapbookers face! And these are some really great tips...common sense and so easy to follow!! Another one that I use....draft the journaling first! Once I select the pictures, I jot down a few notes about the story/event I'm planning to capture and why. That way, once I finish the page and know what my journaling space looks like, I can refer to my notes.

    From the draw demo performed, it looks like Cricut's draw feature has improved. Is this so? I have a Cricut Explore Air 2 and had found the pen would, I suppose, lift and draw leaving placement dots so to speak. Has the improvement been made with a software update or a later machine?

  • @thescrapbookschool
    @thescrapbookschool2 ай бұрын

    No, I don't think there's been that much improvement. I still get those dots. I also think it depends on the font.

    So glad I found your channel. Very helpful video. Looking forward to other cricut/scrapbooking videos. I’d love to know where you purchase the paper with a lighter shade on the reverse side. Close To My Heart’s paper was like that. I’d love to know where else I can get it. Thank you!

    Hi, glad to be found and thanks for watching! Ironically, the shaded paper was from Close to My Heart! I really like their duo-toned paper too and will miss it when they go away. However, 12x12 Cardstock (@12x12CardstockShop) shop carries a similar type paper from American Crafts and a company called Encore. I've not used Encore paper before so I can't attest to whether it's good or not. 12x12 Cardstock says it works well on Cricut and Silhouette machines. I'm going to try it out at some point. Their website is www.12x12cardstock.shop/.
