So lovely to see your genuine reaction to our ANNUAL music festival, the Promenade Concerts (or "the Proms" for short). They run from mid-July to mid-September EVERY year. Every single night there is a concert in the Royal Albert Hall in London, with most being strictly classical music, though with a very "enthusiastic" audience. All the seating is taken out in the main arena and the public crowd in with flags, hooters and so on to show their appreciation. This year (2024) I will be, once more, singing there on September 7th, 2024 in a performance of Handel's Messiah, to be broadcast on radio and, probably TV. The most famous bit, the Hallelujah Chorus will be performed with full audience participation! 2024 sees the "Last Night of the Proms" (i.e. the Last Night of the Proms season for the year) on September 14th when all the usual stuff will be performed, including, of course, Rule Britannia. It'll be on TV, so do tune in if you are able.

Ferencváros TC is was founded when Hungary was still the Austro-Hungarian empire. My great-grandfather was the fan of the club, my grandfather was, my mother was. Its a tradition that connects generations, and transcends politics. There were like eleven regime changes in Hungary in the span of time where my family was an FTC fan.

i'm from belgium in one of the smaller cities. and i live about 3-ish kilometers away from a decently sized football stadium. whenever there is a game, we can hear people chanting inside our house they're so loud

In the last video, on the huge white banner, there are the lyrics of a Romanian military song which translates like this "We all were Romanian regiments: Moldova, Muntenia, Ardeal (the 3 historical regions of Romania)". This shows the level of passion of the fans. They're comparing them to soldiers from all over the country, ready to die for the pride of the nation.

For an American, it's actually too easy to check if the Metric System is better, you simply need to consider switching to the Imperial System on a field where all Americans are already using the Metric System. Which field is it? How do you buy an SSD? How do you check a file size or folder size on your computer? How do you buy a RAM module? Yes, you have always used the Metric System for it: kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, terabytes. Now imagine you are forced to use the following imperial units, starting with Windows/Mac file browser displaying file sizes with these: • 1 binch = 25 bites • 1 boot (pl. beet) = 305 byte or 12 binches and 5 bytes • 1 byle = 1631 bytes, or 5 beet and 3 binches and 6 bytes I'm sure you would go to the streets, raging. 😏 But why? Because you're used to gigabytes? No. It's because it's much easier to manage data volumes in the Metric System. In reality, Americans simply are used to the Imperial System, and they are too free to be told "what's better for ya".
