918 fishing

918 fishing

For years outdoor enthusiasts have enjoyed hiking, biking, and even rock climbing around the greater Tulsa area. It is easy to tell when Spring is around the corner as citizens emerge from their homes, eager to luxuriate in the warmth of the sun and a fresh breath of air. Every weekend, usually before the first rays of sun touch the sky, caravans of boats make the trek to local lakes, anxious to get a line in the water and feel that first bite of the season. But few people realize that the prize is so much closer to home and doesn't require a predawn ritual.
The Oklahoma wildlife department has been stocking local ponds, many in your own backyard, for years. All you need to spend an afternoon soaking in the sun, reeling in the big one, and posting pics, is your Oklahoma fishing license and some tackle.
918 Fishing aims to explore those hidden gems, many less than 5 mins from your favorite coffee shop, and share them with the growing angler population. Follow us on Facebook @918fishing
