    The only real downside for me is that the dongle is hard to drive from my samsung smartphone. It can be remedied by getting the ibasso cb19 and a powerbank, but it does take a lot of space in your pocket if you decide to take it outside.

    I've been in the hobby since the early 2000's when I purchased the brand new Shure E2c and then quickly moved to the Shure E3c. I also used to review portable audio gear on headfi and a bit on KZread several years ago. Overall, I like your review style but do have one nitpick which is using the term "bass bleed". I don't think that's a good way to describe what's happening because it makes it sound like a tuning defect whereas it's an intentional tuning choice used to warm up or thicken the lower mids.

    Nice review! I already have Onix Alpha and can echo your analysis of the sound signature. Overall, it's great with very high price to performance ratio. I do tend to prefer a warmer sound signature and have many warmer IEM which Onix Alpha warms up a bit more, making the bass slower and thicker. Sometimes that's nice and relaxing but at other times it's a bit too much. So I'd also recommend pairing Onix Alpha with a neutral to brighter source but can also see it working well to make an IEM with BA bass drivers sound more analog and organic. And I appreciate the comparison with DC07 Pro which I've heard many good things about. But I'm waiting to hear about the Soundaware MDA3 and the upcoming L&P W2U. Will you be getting either of those for review?

    The sound on these are rather supar in my opinion. I'm not sure why these iems is getting so much praise on KZread. I ended up getting caught up in the hype and purchasing these lol. This iem lacks in the treble region. Therefore, the soundstage feels rather congested, and 3D pinpoint positioning is rather subpar. It's a bass emphasized U-shaped sound signature for the treble sensitive. These iem's sit somewhere between U shaped and L shape in how they sound. Definitely, don't buy these for gaming. Movies, so so. Music, okay. Critical listening, definitely not.

  • @DungLeReviews
    @DungLeReviews7 күн бұрын

    @@3b0ny1 Sorry that you feel that way. I wouldn't say subpar, but it's decent imho. Lacks in the treble region, i would say no to that, as i feel like it's even spicier up top than the graph suggested, but to each their own. I would agree that it's U shaped though
