FullerCenter

FullerCenter

The Fuller Center for Housing is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. By forming partnerships with local organizations, The Fuller Center provides the structure, guidance and support that communities need to build and repair homes for the impoverished among them. The organization was founded in 2005 by the late Millard Fuller and his wife Linda Fuller (also the founders of Habitat for Humanity International), to continue their life-long mission of providing affordable housing to those in need.

Congratulations, Immanuel, on getting your own home to live in! Another feather to the cap of the Fuller Center's housing initiative! Kudos to David and Ryan in particular. The presence of Linda adds to the attraction of the video! Stay blessed to celebrate Easter!

I've had enough of all this gossip about "persecuted Christians" in the DPRK : I don't believe it for a second, that's all !! What sources do we rely on, exactly ? Rumors from Western mass media ? The "testimonies" of North Korean defectors who fled to their southern neighbor, and whose sincerity I very much doubt ?... The reports from associations like Open Doors, of evangelical Christian origin, and of which we know very well the fundamentalist and missionary character at all costs ? Or the Roman Catholic Church, which has always had the unfortunate tendency to want to stick its nose everywhere, which cannot support the different churches being nationalized and independent of the Vatican... and which, under the pretext of evangelization, has so often made the accomplice of imperialist capitalism and colonialism ? Let Rome therefore be content to remain united with its believers (from North Korea, as from anywhere else) on questions of a spiritual nature only... and for the rest, let it remain within its area of jurisdiction time and stop worrying about other people's affairs ! Only then, perhaps, can the North Korean government reasonably consider the permanent arrival of a bishop and clergy at Jangchung Cathedral... in compliance with the laws of the DPRK, including I partly approve of the operation, and of which I totally approve of the law in matters of religion. OK for freedom of belief and worship, but refusal to let religion turn into the opium of the people and stupidize the people ! And if there really is an "underground Church" which seeks to play tricks and gets into trouble in the end : don't be surprised. I'm going to annoy you a little more, and that's good : Christian and communist values are not incompatible, provided they are well thought out and applied within an ideal of social justice ! As a libertarian Protestant theologian from my country said so well : “As a religious institution, Christianity is the worst betrayal of Christ.” Meditate on this thought a little, stop whining and leave the DPRK alone, which didn't ask you anything !

There is no religion all religious documents and books are banned that church is only for show its to fool tourists, westerners, and foreigners and to making them think that they have freedom of religion all those attending the church services there are paid actors. It's all for show and even says on the Immigration Form coming into North Korea that religious books are banned it's asking you if you are bringing with you any religious books such as the Bible or a Quran

This is how the Fuller Center demonstrates its love and concern for fellow-beings afflicted by natural disaster and rendered homeless. Such volunteering not only fulfils the dream of Millard Fuller but also contributes to the responsibility of the Fuller Center for Housing! Yes, "Life is both a gift and a responsibility"! Kudos to all those who are behind the success of this Herculean project!

We, as a group, had the blessing to talk to her on the phone in early January as we were switching from Habitat to Fuller Center, she was so helpful. We could tell it was taxing on her and her sweet puppies wanted to be known but she stayed on the phone with us for over 20 minutes somewhat late at night covering almost everything we could possibly think of. God bless her and everyone she has touched. Savannah Claussen, Treasurer, Jasper County, IN.

Geral was my guide on two separate builds in Haiti and he is a good man who loves Pignon greatly. Geral is a natural leader. He is respected and a kind person. He helped me set up a sponsorship for one of the boys I meet on my 1st trip. Pignon is a beautiful town full of beautiful people. They just happen to be in need of reliable housing so they can take better care of their families and so they can start bettering their situation using their talents and work ethic. Once you visit Pignon, it will always be a part of you.
