There is limits to growth esp when we live in a finite planet and when our economy is mostly dependent heavily on the environment. Hence, there is no such thing as sustainable growth.

My great grandfather (and we believe his two brothers) was/were in the 2nd Light Horse. My great grandfather then fought in WWII. I’d love to find out more information. No one in our family has any photos and I would love to know who these men were.

Worked at the Opera House many years ago now as an Electrician . Remember the Mechanic there often would stop and point out how well the place was built and how the concrete structure fitted together with no gaps that could be seen. One night we climbed the inside of one of the sails the inside structure had no connection to the outside structure for ocostics. Well that's what he told me, if we had fallen from this tight space neither of us would have been found Still it was a great experience if not highly dangerous. No safe operating procedures were followed that night.

I stumbled upon these Pub Choir videos recently - now I am addicted. Watching all of them, and some twice. Thank you Astrid and to everyone concerned; this brings joy and tears in equal measure. I cannot imagine living in a country where music, dancing and easy living is banned. We in Australia, the USA, The UK, Ireland, Wales, European countries, NZ etc are so fortunate. Do not take this freedom lightly, it is easily lost. (from a 75 year old granny who notices so much out of kilter in the world and is sometimes fearful for my grand son)

I was recently out camping next to a dry riverbed in the bungle bungles outback Australia. I woke up in the middle of the and sat up in the tent and within a minute saw a large white light meandering along the riverbed it lit up the ground underneath it and made no sound at all . I wasn’t scared just in awe of what I had just witnessed past by and kept going along the riverbed I noticed what looked like shimmering stuff dropping off the back of it
