What DPI should I use?
600 dpi is best practice for images. Check out our digitisation toolkit for more tips on digitisation - www.slq.qld.gov.au/how-do-i/contribute-state-library-collections/how-to-contribute/digitisation-toolkit

Pope Alice aka Luke Roberts I've been lead to believe by raelians to have been investigated for dressing up as an alien to attract children 😳 Luke is that true? Do you like little boys bottoms?

Astrid Jorgensen, the black-haired Viking from New Zealand who Changes the World.
There is limits to growth esp when we live in a finite planet and when our economy is mostly dependent heavily on the environment. Hence, there is no such thing as sustainable growth.
shouldve been heritage listed ...
the playroom shouldve been heritage listed .... for it to be knocked down and turned into a carpark was so sad!!!!
She’s awesome, and so passionate about what she’s doing. Pub Choir is a brilliant idea.
41:17 😂😂😂
24:56 So glad she addressed why the star was an “it”. It’s all of those VIPs in our life ❤
Talk about a trip down memory lane!! Thank you for all the memories. I actually danced as a child in a big talent quest. A bit daunting as I was the only child. An amazing flautist won that event!
An absolutely stunning project - fabulous insight to the Smart journey . Have visited the home (externally) and its a remarkable result.
My great grandfather (and we believe his two brothers) was/were in the 2nd Light Horse. My great grandfather then fought in WWII. I’d love to find out more information. No one in our family has any photos and I would love to know who these men were.
Hi, you can search personal service records online - www.awm.gov.au/research/guide/service-records
@@statelibraryqldaustralia Thank you very much!
“The men can sing some sea shanties” like wow!! How patronizing. Meanwhile Astrid is a tonic and what we all need
Absolutly love what Astrid is doing, the only critisism is she is so alive and would like to see more of her and the band, in a corner of the screen, along with the choir.
Worked at the Opera House many years ago now as an Electrician . Remember the Mechanic there often would stop and point out how well the place was built and how the concrete structure fitted together with no gaps that could be seen. One night we climbed the inside of one of the sails the inside structure had no connection to the outside structure for ocostics. Well that's what he told me, if we had fallen from this tight space neither of us would have been found Still it was a great experience if not highly dangerous. No safe operating procedures were followed that night.
That's so nice sis love it ✌️
What a great idee, music is conecting ❤❤❤❤🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦
I have tried to look for my samoan great grandfather on the qld archival search but I have had no success. Very upsetting as i just found out he was apart of the blackbirding and ended up in Mabuiag for the Pearling industry. I dont know where to go for information 😢

Does anyone know whether he ever married Edit Richards (or Edith Loos?) before marrying Andree Whatmore? This is so hard to find
Now compost toilet is more environment friendly, use sawdust or shredded straw or leaves to cover up then it’s smell and fly free and composted into fertilizer for gardens.
I stumbled upon these Pub Choir videos recently - now I am addicted. Watching all of them, and some twice. Thank you Astrid and to everyone concerned; this brings joy and tears in equal measure. I cannot imagine living in a country where music, dancing and easy living is banned. We in Australia, the USA, The UK, Ireland, Wales, European countries, NZ etc are so fortunate. Do not take this freedom lightly, it is easily lost. (from a 75 year old granny who notices so much out of kilter in the world and is sometimes fearful for my grand son)
I was recently out camping next to a dry riverbed in the bungle bungles outback Australia. I woke up in the middle of the and sat up in the tent and within a minute saw a large white light meandering along the riverbed it lit up the ground underneath it and made no sound at all . I wasn’t scared just in awe of what I had just witnessed past by and kept going along the riverbed I noticed what looked like shimmering stuff dropping off the back of it
Judith wright, very adorable personality, I deeply respect her! 💐🙏😊
I'll never forgive him for robbing us of trams.
