It's amazing how many experienced sparks don't even understand the concept of Fusing factors and tables. For example, how many times do we see immersion heaters fed from a 13A FCU instead of a 20A DP switch? Thanks for the usual, clear way of sharing your knowledge 👏

There's an easy way to safeguard a ring circuit... each leg should be in it's own 16a breaker.... maybe even 20a to account for the resistance. Surprised this isn't done more often?

You videos are excellent, but 18 edition exam was the easiest exam so far for me and no revision needed because is an open book, lots of people fail from my classroom because they over complained things.

Wow! This is simple but revolutionary teaching. Like so many others ive also struggled in getting my head around this. After watching this once its unbelievably clearer and ive been to 2 different electrical training providers in the last couple of years. Goes to show how they fly through the basics expecting you to grasp the concepts. Thankyou so much ive also taken photos on my phone to put in my file under the earthing and bonding section.

I am a college student studying electrical diploma and without these videos I would have missed out on a ton of knowledge. I have began studying every single video of yours from the oldest one making my way to the newest video. So far I’m at the video called diversity and maximum demand which was uploaded 3 years ago as of today. Please carry on making videos I have benefitted greatly and I would like to inform you that your efforts are definitely not going to waste because at least I am here literally studying every single one of your videos I mean literally every single one. Thanks!

Hello. I'm an older guy that wants to train as an electrician. UK based. Does anyone have advice on how to approach. There are lots of private training centres out there and the prices vary. What would be a good way do this. Any advice please?

I have only recently discovered Learn Electrics featuring Dave's expertly executed tuition accompanying excellently produced videos. I have replayed this particular video several times as I was confused by the 1.75 Amps and I now believe this should actually be 1.75 ohms for the Zs compliance?

A pretty poor demonstration of a radial circuit. The use of the word 'circuit' is a misnomer too. The 'radial' system is like a train leaving London and going directly to Newcastle, another leaves London and goes to Manchester. But if I live in Liverpool I get a train to Manchester im not on a radial im on a 'spur' . If You are stupid enough to keep linking spurs to spurs then you have basically developed a ring but forgotten that you need to return the last spur back to the FB.

My lad has just passed the exam, following in his father's footsteps, lol. He came out with a point, saying that the whole point of this exam is out of date, because... This will be the only time that you use that book, and going forward if you need to look something up... You use you phone on the internet... And to. Be honest... He's quite right. I've not even used the since I did mine back in 2019, if I needed to check up on something I look on my smart phone... How many of you actually take the book out and use it? As he said... With internet at our disposal... Books are pointless, especially on site. .. he got a point. Lol
