How do I distinguish whether it is the wheel or disc that needs truing? I put together a new Walmart Hyper Ebike with 700c wheels and mechanical disc brakes. You can hear the disc rub, but you can also see the wheel wobble.
I can’t thank you enough. I have been messing with this problem for over an hour and I now realise that I didn’t have the slightest chance of working it out on my own !
When dirt or grease gets in, fails to operate or gets jammed. It's also difficult to actually see when properly locked and must then be done by feel. Just remove fiddly collet and replace with a single skewer nut.
I just got this bike for $1200 USD, 1700CAD
legend thank you!
Thanks for the video. Very nicely explained. However from the video looks like the child does not have a lot of space in front, to what age it is limited ~ 2-3 ?
Brilliant🥳 Still amazes me that the whole cycling industry is hell bent on producing ‘new’ ideas to overcome basic engineering including specialised tools for a specific product. Amazingly there all designed to be used with our hands, just like wrenches, spanner’s, sockets and screwdrivers etc. Quick release systems are a great idea if your not leaving your bike out in public.
Solution: you can simply replace this complicated collet with a regular M5 skewer nut.
Just ordered one
I still don't get it. It's the same how can't do derailleur adjustments either.
Just finished hours of research then finally spat the chewy went back to shed worked out pretty much what you’ve done here, 😂 came back sat down this is first video that pops up 😂 thanks for making this.
After two weeks of videos and frustration, your video made sense, thanks
American engineering? Keep it. 2h to freaking mount a wheel... And you call it quick
Worst BS axle ever...
Yup. And if you break a plastic piece you need to buy the entire assembly
I'll do it thank you...
Yesssss brooo thanks, idk if you helped but you must uave. I initially started trying to figure my handle bars and then went down to the tyre messed with the lock as describe and its been 4 hours if not 5 😭😭😭 finally have managed to twist the end piece, I watched soo mamy vudsss
My loc is the same, but the emd where you twist for the open and close, black part moves with it all as one not in seperation. It doesn’t get any tighter to then close the lock upwards. ???
If u could get help me, my lever was stiff, and after taking it out, its became slack when trying to tighten
ON THE LEVER END YOU WILL SEE A SMALL ALEN KEY HOLE ON THE QUICK RELEASE TURN IT IN A LITTLE BIT AND YOU ARE GOOD ONLY A FEW CLICKS AT A TIME YOU DO NOT WANT TO OVER TIGHTEN IT
Glad I found this video, though I was going mad 😂 got this type of thru axle on a Carrera fury but hoping its not damaged beyond removal
❤
Mine seized up and I kept it greased. Went to check the inner tube & had to dismantle it & then drive the spindle tube out through the forks. One of the o-rings snapped as it came apart. Think I need a new one but they're £40 😲
My dream bike ❤
I just installed a dropper post and the cable is abit long so can I just cut it ???
You don’t need lock it compressed on the install as the edges are chamfered for pushing it through Only on removal do you need lock it in the compressed position. Hope this helps
I used a crayon. Worked quite well
What fork is that and what is the actual size of that axle?
Good job on the Video, this bike looks like a good bike for the money, I like to buy one do you think a Medium will fit me I'm 5.8 thank you for your post. happy 2024✌
Extremely helpful 👍 Thank you. Just received my Giordano Intrepid yesterday. I was able to make it work but I was struggling. The little tag had minimal explanation. Your video covers this perfectly. Got it first try. The hint about the C-clip is helpful, I’ll order a few extra. We have nice trails here in and around Houston. Check them out if you get the chance. 👍😎
Great tip with the zip ties. Thanks. What type of spoke wrench are you using? Like it?
What kind of mtb bike is this trail bike or enduro bike?
How do you measure it? How do I know what length to order??
I bought this bike for £1350. Immediately changed to Magic Mary front and Big Betty rear. Front shock changed to pike to save weight. Recon is just as smooth. Hans Dampf have poor grip in wet loam. Bearing refreshed after about 200hours. Every 100 probably about right for main pivot
Just ordered my son a D7 from Go Outdoors in the UK, fantastic sale on right now.£1600 down to £800🤯 Looking forward to see how it perfoms. The T7 or T8 are top of my list to replace my 2014/5 Stumpjumper. These look amazing value for money.
Really helpful, thanks.
This is the most cost effective way to true a wheel. I have seen people build all kind of truing wheel contraptions which is creative, but this is the smartest way to true a wheel. Thank you for this idea!✅
Thanks, this was an awesome video because I only have a 20 inch wheel on my electric bike and I can’t fit the gauge to meter the spokes. After I get the tire truth, as much as I could, do, I have to tighten them on a little bit or should they be a little bit loose? I still can’t test the gauge on it although I got the wheel pretty straight?
Im in texas . Houston area alot of flat trails is the T7 usable or do i need to be looking at something with a more up right head tub angle?
It is a pretty impressive climber for the weight and the headtube angle. I think it narrows down to what type of trails you ride and how well you handle climbs.
Greta video
I'm thinking D7 SE. Any thoughts?
Thanks for the video! Can’t find anything as far as measurements for my giant talon! So not sure if it fit but I just purchased! Praying it does lol
I wish I could get a medium 29er, because this bike looks awesome
Hey, how tall are you? I'm 5'4" and I'm debating whether I should get a Med 27.5 or a Small? Do you think the Med frame would be to much to handle for me?
@@lyxezz_ethan1695 Yeah im still growing thanks for the tip
Literally, this evening, I learnt how to remove them. Son had a puncture and i unturned the end off, c clip and a washer came off 😂 proceeded to rebuild it on the fly. Found the clip and washer (amazingly on the trail) so will sort that tomorrow. 😊
Fookin’ hell, those Fookers gave you a shiner.
Just bought this bike on a nice sale for an equivalent of 1430USD including shipping. Super excited!
Link? Lol
@@ryancroy451 MEC has a bunch of polygon bikes 25% off up here in Canada
I know its a year on but a video of how to put the pins in with the spring etc would be great
Sag is set in the pedaling position not with the dropper post almost all the way down. Your rear will have show too much sag and front not enough which will cause you to adjust it to have too much preload rear and not enough preload front with the dropper seat down as you have it. That is not a DH bike where the seat post is normally down low.
👍 Ever do cyclocross?
Nice Informative content thank you for uploading this video master, New friend and full support from Philippines hope to stay connected God bless
