This is the place where I like to share my art projects with you.
Anything from crafting to painting, customising or modifying using lots of different techniques & materials that are accessible to the common folk (because I'm one). Mostly my projects are done on a tight budget from my small garage on my tiny desk, so that means you guys can too! My main interests are based on pop-culture as I love my movies and video games as well as board games & miniatures, and anything from the 80's is my jam.
Your support will not go unnoticed as I would love to do this full time one day and I see KZread as a vehicle to help achieve that. In sharing with you I hope you learn something along the way & maybe even inspire your creativity just a little.

Man, the price has sky rocketed the past few years. I managed to get a nearly complete set for £67!!! Bargain at the current prices. I haven't played it since the 90s.

Nice one mate! Strangely enough I decided that this year will be the year I get my own copy of Spacecrusade fully painted! Worked on the Ultramarines today and have some magnets due in the post hopefully on Monday 😄. Great vid mate, 👍
Which size are the magnets? 3mm or 2mm ?
For the weapons I used 2mm X 2mm and the figures 3mm X 3mm. I found the 3mm ones were just too large for the weapons when drilling the holes, but they almost fit the figure’s existing hole.

Great work!! do you seal your miniatures? if so, with which product?
Not always as I find a good primer helps keep the paint on most of the time, however I do use Vallejo Matt or Gloss varnish applied with airbrush on occasion.

@@Quellenmeister I have not used it before but hear mixed results with the spray cans, leaving a chalky powder look on the figures. I prefer using dropper bottles for this because I can use a very light coat or mix in with the paint. If I do eventually try it I’ll be doing a test run first.
I don’t know what you did but it looks like you painted these in a retro like paint job but you didn’t how i i followed this it would look like a modern looking paint job
I think it's a combination of choosing bold colours to stand out on the board, and the intensity and balance of modern techniques to get the effect I was going for. I wanted them to really pop at a glance but draw you in upon closer inspection with the details.
