This song hit home with me, because these words was my life, my first love, was when me & her was in our late teens , she also was my best friend, we both were from the hood, straight up ghetto love at its best, I was never the same after her,its been like 35yrs ago and she passed away a few years back , we mended our friendship before she pass, we talk for hours on the phone everyday till the end , I became very successful in the later years, but I was like damage goods, in my other relationships, I just couldn't get over my first love, my hood queen.. I returned to give a follow up: As my siblings and I were looking through my mom's paperwork, out fell a 4 page letter with the word I begged for! My mother wrote us a 4 page letter over 10 years ago for this day. I am literally in awe! The letter starts off, If you're reading this, I've probably crossed over to be woth my heavenly father God....." You guys I am just in pure amazement with the preparation my beautiful mother done! Wow God!
