i would like to know, How do you size the piping from the compressor to the equipment and air ports?

I understand that two air recievers is preferred, but as you said, many organizations only want to pay for one. In this case, should the dryer (assuming they also only will pay for one dryer) be protecting the vessel or downstream of it, protecting the distribution pipework and instruments?

What kind of compressor is good for pressurizing , say, a 2 gallon tank for a small pneumatic cylinder?

In our system, we observe pressure fluctuations due to the drying unit (two-stage pressure change style). We use about 6000l/h (max) at 0.62 kPa pressure with a min-max deviation of 0.2kPa. I was planning to install an air tank after the dryer but I was curious about its size and if there is a better solution, maybe a combination of a limiter together with a tank or any other?

I would put a small electric motor on the first fan of turbine so when your not using nitros or oxy setaline ethier that's still debatable on which is the better 1 to Use all you do to start it is turn on the air once it's craken at idle air tanks fill instantly so U have instant power on the throttle then I can increase the flow of the first fan of the turbine and fire up some nos to pick up pase the faster it moves the faster the fans turn on there own with out any more spraying or from the electric first fan can switch of so fan free spins

Put like half dozen spark plugs on the turbine so when you spray oxy setaline or nitrious into turbine and U egnite spark plugs it will flame up and boost like your on a fighter jet but on water

Then I need to suck hot air from the turbine to air tanks and the air in the tanks will have no moisture

Hey lying , if I wanted to use air pump to power my jetski ? !!! I would build a fan turbine free spinning blades with compressed air tanks 1 big 1 and couple little tanks , then add a couple oxy setaline tanks small and that's where my boost and after burners come from and a couple small compresors maybe could get some hard core psi coming out of the rear outlet and never need fuel again U can also tap into main turbine to keep air tanks full so free air motor

VSD thing is not that simple, though! Most of the time when driver is going bad, ( and they do go bad, very often) the price of the replacement offsets the savings, in some cases even surpasses the savings if failed prematurely. Another thing: VFD drivers introduce harmonics to grid, for which power companies penalize end users. Of course there’s line reactors and filters, but that’s another very expensive equipment. I would say better way is to control displacement by mechanical means with something like sliding or plunger valves, or run multiple smaller machines in lead/lag set up fir variable loads - but everybody have jumped on “government stupidity” band wagon, now days!!!

I think that's free power right besides the nitrous or oxy setaline that would be the only cost

Brad: You are exceptionally good in explaining the fact the energy cost is 73% in running the compressors. You impressed upon the viewers that periodically conducting the energy audit is essential in reducing/eliminating the compressed air leakage.A job very well done.Congrats.
