  I ve watched some interesting and lengthy documentaries about Luciano and Lansky lately... fascinating stories indeed... I came to conclusions that I now hypothesis that Lansky betrayed with "help" of US government his childhood "friend" Luciano as soon as in the 30's and that the "infamous" Lansky probably also started his "schemes" by framing Al Capone, the "best" of them all, and by far to me. I noticed also in the Godfather movies are portraying most of these famous gangsters and their stories in the triology except noticeably Al Capone. And I doubt Luciano could have ever ended Lansky carrier for being a "FBI informant" or such since its him who introduced Lansky to the underworld in the first place, Luciano "career" would have ended too as he was responsible to have introduced Lansky.

  When Maranzano was killed it was a Jewish hit crew they were Lansky's guys. Him and Lucky figured Lansky's guys could dress as IRS agents so as to not raise Maranzano's suspicion .
