    Something similar happen to me recently with my fiancee (but without the matter of cheating), and I feel the performances of Aniston and Schwimmer real, pain can be felt on this scenes. The only thing I don't like is the laughing audience, I think that was not necessary...because that laughs are not in real life when these sad situations happen...

    Rachel was an awful, horrible person and the worst character on the show, and deserved all the bad that happened to her and more! Period! Here, she displays her typical egoism and entitlement! She was awfully jealous of every single girl who got close to Ross, ruined all his relationships, and was way more toxic to him than he was to her. Rachel gave Ross and Julie bad sex advice to break them up, called Julie ugly slurs behind her back, wanted to ruin her appearance so she gave Phoebe false instructions on how to ruin Julie's hair, and finally, Rachel had no problem kissing Ross when he was with Julie, so clearly cheating was not a problem when the guy was cheating with her lol Rachel also insulted Bonnie behind her back even tho she didn't know her, and ruined Bonnie's appearance just like she did with Julie, but what is worse, and never talked about in the context of Bonnie's and Ross' relationship, is how Rachel started openly flirting with Ross in the beach house! When Monica actually was the one showing concern about how Rachel could behave awfully this way, Rachel admitted to Monica in the beach house that she doesn't care if Bonnie is Ross' current girlfriend, she had the whole plan to get him back! Yet Rachel was the one who literally broke up with him! Then she right away got together with Mark, Ross called drunk from the bar and heard Mark on the phone in Rachel's apartment. Right after Chloe appeared, took advantage of drunk Ross, so Ross never cheated and had every reason to be angry, but Rachel actually had zero problem with destroying the relationships of other people and cheating! And it's a zero problem for her fans too but oh, suddenly Rachel is a poor victim who was cheated on when she broke up with Ross - period; and he was drunk. These fans are pathetic, just as Rachel was, and especially Rachel's female feminist fans, who never talk about how horribly she treated other women on the show, and how she had no problem with cheating but they cry about how Ross ' cheated on her'. She was crazy possessive towards Ross, all the things that she did to Julie, Bonnie, Emily, the girl from the shop - the list goes on and on. She lied, and she tricked Ross into marrying her in Vegas, it was her idea, but she blamed it all on Ross! She sexually harassed Tag during his first job interview, she lied to her father about Ross not wanting to marry her when she told him about the pregnancy, and yet the truth was the opposite: Ross literally proposed the marriage to her in the hospital the first day she told him about her pregnancy, and she rejected the offer. As a result of these lies, Rachel's dad almost ruined Ross' relationship with Mona! Ross, on his part, was literally just worried about Mark, and turns out, he was dead on about Mark! This is why the Hugh Laurie scene on the plane is my favorite moment on Friends ever -finally, someone actually told the truth about the insufferable, spoiled, hypocritical narcissist that Rachel always was, and to her face! She was by far the worst, most toxic, most hypocritical character on this show! And her fans are all these things too. Ross deserved so so much better!

    @NaticzkaKaminskaHenryDolphin4 ай бұрын

    The 'Ross was jealous and possessive' is exactly the lie and nonsense that people who actually didn't watch this show with attention and have a bias, repeat which is annoying af. Rachel was actually the worst, most jealous, and toxic, and didn't deserve Ross. She was smug, arrogant, a liar, a hypocrite. Ross was, in fact, her victim and he was a sweetheart who made a mistake while being drunk and taken advantage of! Ross was literally hopelessly in love with her since day 1 and did everything for her. She broke up with him, and yes, he slept with Chloe too fast but it wasn't cheating since Rachel broke up with him. And it isn't up for debate - Rachel herself went to Ross' apartment the next morning& asked Ross if she could be his girlfriend again, why would she do that if she didn't break up with him? She did, period. However, the main point is, that Ross was drunk. He was drunk, wasn't himself and Chloe used him. If it was a girl in the same situation as Ross - drunk at the bar, and vulnerable because she just had a fight and broke up with the love of her life, and some man would make a move on her, as Chloe did on Ross, the comments would be way different. But it's Ross, a man, so people unreasonably hate him. But the main thing is, Ross NEVER wanted to sleep with Chloe, he was drunk and lost control like we all do when we are drunk, so he didn't hurt Rachel on purpose. Rachel, on the other hand, always hurt Ross on purpose, like when she straight up lied about who came to whom when they conceived Emma and wanted to humiliate Ross. This is the story of their lives on this show. Rachel was always hurting Ross on purpose and sabotaging his relationships on purpose, she also was WAY more jealous and possessive than Ross and did more awful things out of jealousy but most people act like they don't know this. So let's see: Ross was only really jealous of Paolo and Mark, and turned out he was right about both. All he did with the Paolo situation was he actually told Paolo he loves Rachel and will be sad if Paolo ruins it (the blackout episode) then he let the relationship between Rachel and Paolo runs its course naturally, that's it. With Mark, all he did was - he send the musical band to Rachel's office, plus he bought her a lot of stuff and openly told Rachel he is worried about Mark because he already had trauma from Carol and her cheating on him!! Rachel didn't understand it, and it turned out, Mark did want to date her. Meanwhile Rachel: cunningly, she gave Julie and Ross bad sex advice on purpose, called Julie ugly names behind her back, and actively run after Ross and kissed him when Ross was still with Julie ( so I guess Rachel only cared when someone supposedly cheats on her, not on others, and not when someone cheats on someone else with her), she ruined Bonnie hair and sabotaged her relationship with Ross at the first chance she got, attacked and mocked Ross in front of the girl from the shop who liked him and called the girl b*tch, she was awful to Emily and tried to sabotage her marriage to Ross too. Yes, she stopped herself, thank God, at the last moment but after Emily ran away, Rachel at the wedding party, still talked on and on about how Ross said her name at the altar and that he really loves her, - yeah, so 'classy'. She was playing with his emotions, heart, and life over and over AGAIN after the breakup. First, she told him to move on, then sabotaged his every relationship, was crazy jealous, then when he wanted to start things again, she rejected him. I'm a girl but I hate Rachel exactly for this hypocrisy of hers and her fanbase. And I want to be objective. And this is just on the top of my head, but the list goes on and on. The FACT is Rachel was the WORST and most toxic, but most people, especially hardcore feminists, I noticed, are biased toward Ross, and the majority of the people who say Ross was the worst actually didn't watch the show or don't remember. Anyone, who actually did watch the show, knows Rachel was the WORST. Ross was as I said, her victim and deserved WAY better.

    Ross didn't cheat on Rachel. Here is my whole analysis of them, I need to get it off my chest because I think the most mainstream opinion of them by mostly younger fans, is very unfair to Ross. Ross slept with Chloe because he was mad and drunk, and heartbroken after his fight with Rachel, but he never really wanted to. And he didn't cheat because Rachel broke up with him, and that is a FACT not up for debate. People who still debate this are the ones who didn't pay attention to what was happening on screen or have a clear, biased agenda against Ross. The next morning after their fight, in the next episode, Rachel literally tells Monica that she broke up with Ross, and then she goes to Ross's apartment and asks Ross if she can be his girlfriend again. Why would she do that if she didn't break up with him? These are literally scenes and lines of dialog that did happen, so it's a fact that she did break up with Ross. Ross also keeps repeating this to Joey and Chandler - that he and Rachel are broken up - when they are all at the bar before Ross sleeps with Chloe. So if Rachel broke up with Ross, and Ross had it clear, him sleeping with Chloe wasn't cheating no matter how you want to twist it. Again - I don't say it wasn't a mistake, it was. But it was an honest human mistake many of us would make in this situation. And let's talk about the whole context here. The fact is also, that Ross was drunk and vulnerable, and was an easy target for Chloe. Yes, Chloe made a first move on Ross, and she used him! Just imagine how different would be the comments, if the situation was in reverse: so drunk, vulnerable girl at the bar, and a fully sober guy making a move on her. Chloe used Ross, Ross never did it because he truly wanted it and was conscious about it, so he never hurt Rachel on purpose, and he regretted it right after. This is why, for me, Rachel should forgive him, and eventually, she did and came back to him. Because she understood Ross never wanted to hurt her and he did everything for Rachel throughout the show. Now let's talk about Rachel's toxic behavior so many people seem to gloss over. First, I remember the season 7 episode where Rachel has a crush on her assistant Tag and wants to sleep with him because she found out Tag had just broken up with his girlfriend. There's a scene where Rachel asks Monica and Phoebe when it's okay to sleep with a guy who is fresh after a breakup, and Phoebe replies that she once did it an hour after a guy broke up with his ex, and Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe all laugh, and it's cool. So they literally describe the situation that was between Ross and Rachel and Chloe, and yet they don't consider it cheating and Rachel wants to do it. And people DARE to write that Ross was in the wrong. No, it all proves that Rachel was an insufferable hypocrite. Ross openly and honestly told Rachel about his concerns about Mark - and it turned out later that Ross was right, Mark wanted to date Rachel and was romantically interested in her. Also, Ross loved Rachel more than his life, but he was already traumatized by Carol, who was his wife, not a girlfriend, but a wife - and she betrayed him! Rachel had zero empathy for Ross and didn't understand that his fear and jealousy stemmed from trauma. Rachel didn't have time for Ross either, was lost in her work, so it wasn't like it was all Ross' fault, but Rachel didn't want to take any responsibility for their problems, ever. Anyway, Ross begged for forgiveness, Rachel didn't want to give him a chance back then. And then she played with his heart. First, she wouldn't give him a chance, then she ruined every relationship he had, attacked Bonnie, Emily, etc., went to his wedding to break it up, messing with his head, telling him that she still loved him after he was married. Even before all of this, Rachel did bad things when she was jealous: attacking Julie, openly sabotaging Julie's relationship with Ross, and kissing Ross when he was with Julie. So, in fact, Rachel did way more worse and toxic things out of jealousy and possessiveness than Ross ever did! Yet people seem to not remember it, they only talk about Ross's jealousy, never Rachel's! The irony. I also, again, never liked that Joey and Chandler were at the bar with Ross at the beginning, they saw he was in a bad state, drinking, and he told them Rachel broke up with him, so they knew he could do smth he will regret, yet they let him drink and left him alone! Bad call! They should have taken him home, period!! Also: Rachel was angry about 'the list' and Ross saying she was 'just a waitress' yet Rachel mocks Ross's profession literally during the whole show, and cruelly!! And the 'funniest' thing is, Chandler was actually the one whose idea the list was, it was never Ross's idea in the first place. Chandler proposed it and just started to write it, yet he never gets any heat or criticism for having this idea. Or Joey for that matter, for saying Rachel has 'fat ankles' which ended up on the list, and what Ross never said, it was Joey. Overall the list was a silly thing between the guys and never serious, just for comedy, but the fact is Chandler invented it, not Ross but ofc only Ross gets hate for it. And that isn't a problem according to Rachel's hypocritical fans.

    Ross always saw himself as the underdog in his relationship with Rachel, the nice guy who would treat her well if she would only notice him. When he finally won her over, he couldn't handle the fact that she was still her own person with her own desires and goals in life, and he didn't trust her to stay faithful to him, and he smothered her. Then when Rachel rightfully pushed back, he took it personally and rather than try to evaluate his own issues, he retaliated and took the first opportunity he had to hurt her. He was so busy trying to win Rachel that he never stopped to think about if he even deserved her.

    God this was so brilliantly acted. I watch Jenn’s face and can literally feel her trying to see if she can get past the thought of him with Chloe and she just can’t. Infidelity ( or whatever this qualifies as) is such a destructive thing to a relationship. I applaud couples who can move on from it but I think the only way I could would be amnesia. Or lots and lots of time.

    This is exactly what happened when you lacked communication and understanding, especially for couples. Ross and Rachel are at different phases of their lives; Ross is completely insecure and paranoid after losing Carol, while Rachel is in her midst of her developing career path that she has worked hard for so long after being a waitress. As a result, Ross went over-controlling and not respecting Rachel’s time and space, while Rachel neglected Ross entirely on his insecurities. Come to think of it, prior to this break up, their relationship is just merely on having sex and making out in bed. So when this happens, they had no idea on how to work things out, letting external parties getting in their way.
