What was the total material cost? How many sprinkler heads and total length of pipe
230 sprinkler heads 7000m of pipe work and various fittings a round 35k 😩
Speed and flow are the key to 125’s on a track. And lots of clutch in the corners 😜😉
Haha that’s what we love !!
‘I got what I need and I need what I got’!
Was a great video that !!
I just nod and sigh from understanding, people have no idea how hard it is t run a motocross facility..machinery breakdowns are an ever present threat . Its not if its gonna happen..its always WHEN is it gonna happen and the $$$$ it takes to repair. Yove your never say die attitude!

legend!!
Terry from Christchurch New Zealand love ua work young man, the track forms up mint. You're got the watering down perfect to hold the dirt forming multiple ruts. I found if i ran the powerharrow deeper just as I get to the breaking zone it wood form bigger breaking bumps without the amount of riders. Good for the experienced guys wanting more technical entry. Or I would do just the inside half deep and normal round the outside but your track and prep is like butter perfect, makes me wana get out for a skid.
Haha ye thanks Terry I’d love to get the Harrow abit deeper but she’s abit big for the tractor when trying to get through this wet clay 🤣 I’m getting better at judging it though 🤙🏽 you will enjoy next weeks video for sure
@@CDGMxRetreat bye all means not a criticism shaga, your doing the best prep I've seen without a dought. The upramps angle, length of transition. Spacing from corners to the jumps ect, people don't understand how much it takes to get a track that flows like you have done there. The way you sculpted the natural terrain is verry impressive. Hope your still takeing the time too get ya leg over and do a couple of rides tho shag... and I mean on the bike by the way. When ua had the Kawasaki Horgmo#24 guys there did Courtney Duncan our kiwi girl make it over. I'm not sure were she is based at the moment but I think that team is helping her out. She goes well and would enjoy that style of dirt. Broke ma heart when she left yamahas tho lol.
Haha I don’t get to get a leg over as much as I would like, but when I do I can only do 3 or so laps hahaha Courtney is riding for Steve Dixon which is based in the Uk, so I haven’t got to see her ride here yet, I did see her clean up at the Spanish MXGP last weekend tho !!
Class work from Norman, hope the dozer gets all sorted soon mate!
Thanks mate ye she’s all Up and running now !
Good old Norman!
He’s a ledge !
Good Job well done! Quality
Thanks man I think you should start a carpentry channel
You are so amazing 👏👏👏
Why thank you
Terry from Christchurch New Zealand, the joys of toys for our sand pits. Ran my track for 13 years with really old gear and slowly but surely worked through the machines to where they become reliable. I still own them and are looking for a new property this year. If you can get your mx clubs too run 3 or 4 events each session getting 300 riders at 20 dollars a rider per round out of there entry fees it can really help your overheads. The club had the insurance cover on the event through motorcycling New Zealand like FIM were you are. We also had sponsored sighnage around the trac from local business. It's also good for the local accommodation and nabours to see cash comeing into the area. Our biggest challenge was stopping the mx comunity speeding through the village on the way to the track. That really fukd the locals off more than noise. Keep up the hard yards becouse it's people like you that are the backbone of the sport. No point haveing a bike if there's nowhere to send it.
Hey Terry, yes that's the problem i have i put so much money into this old equipment that when it goes wrong i think maybe i should just buy something newer, but then who knows what problems i will run into with that piece of kit, and now i know what is done to this old stuff its hard to move on.
Fantastic video , great photography and well put together.
Thanks Kevin !!
Hey is it possible that I can have a blue print of your track because I want to build my own one here in South Africa for me to ride
Hahah I’d love to get it on a PlayStation game !
@@CDGMxRetreat sorry now that I thought about what I had asked it makes sense,I mean it's like RC private track and it's been detroyed and something else was built over it makes sense to just design my own little 125 track for me and the boys who wanna have fun , but the thing is I don't know how tall how far and how to build the jumps because I have natural stuff that I grew up riding and jumping and nearly killing myself on because I had no idea until I rode my first MX track with a 450 at rover but the fee just to ride for one day is just crazy and I felt screw it I'd build it and let people ride for free and when we have event where people would come have a nice day off for the weekend but hot dogs and whatnot that I'd use that to maintain it ,or well that was the idea since our town hasn't had a decent event in about 15 years and it basically died out ,so my idea was to have something for the community because something is better than nothing at all where kids just get drunk do drugs and do nothing, so yeah I was told it's a dumb idea but it sure beats drinking every weekend
@@CDGMxRetreat anyway thanks I hope you can afford your console and find a game with track editor sure sounds like fun
KH24 full gassss
He was soo fast
Really would be dope to see some rider pov
If you search CDG mx retreat there are quite a few go pro laps, unfortunately if it was me doing a lap the video would be too long 😂
Loving those ruts!
You know what that say railing ruts and nailing ..
The Honda ripping!!!🔥💨
I think you would look good on a Honda
So sick 🎉
Thanks for the input
What a fantastic track you have created, very impressive, pity about wild pigs, pity they can't be trapped or if need be shot.
Thanks Kevin ye we are coming up with a plan to be ready for this winter with those piggies !!
Beasttttt track! 🔥🔥
Thanks Tommy !!
Beautiful track, great seeing all those 125s tearing it up. I'm sub'd
Cheers Erik it was unreal hearing them all at once rip through the valley !!
@@CDGMxRetreat I bet! Awesome track, keep up the good work!
So sick, I love seeing how the track is evolving!
Nice one buddy ❤
Good days graft
Indie earned her rent
I like your videos. Im curious as to how many riders you get on a busy day? I'm a tradk worker at Chesney Vale ride park in Victoria Australia...I help out the young couple that run that buisness..they have 3 young kids and you seem to live very similar lives
Hey Phil, I like to keep the track as an enjoyable for everyone as possible so that means no sessions just open track all day, so I limit numbers if I can. The busiest part of the season is December and January and a busy public day would be around 40 riders
@@CDGMxRetreat that's interesting. In our situation, we really need about 40 riders just to break even I think. A good day for us is 70 to 90 riders...a ripping day is 120. We divide the riders into 4 groups . Fast adults, slow adults, fast kids on 85'ss and 65's and slow kids on whatever bike they ride. We have a traffic light system that corresponds to each group and each rider gets a coloured wristband that corresponds to the traffic light colour and the group they are in...just timed sessions that repeat in order all day. We have to do it that way. It works ok...but we usually have to pull a few riders up in the first couple sessions and ask them to switch groups. We get a few fast rider heroes that wanna go out and blitz past the slow riders...we dont allow that. We never get slow riders wanting to go out with the fast riders
Ye that’s very similar to how it works in the Uk, over here the numbers are a lot lower and most riders show up at 10 do there Motos and are gone by 12 /1, the busy period I get alot of the MXGP boys and Spanish pros so sessions just wouldn’t work for them with testing and doing long Motos. I’m going to be building a kids track soon so that will be nice to be able to cater for some kids,
Great vid 😋😍😍😍
Thanks mate
Terry from Christchurch New Zealand love ua work young man, I had a private track for 13 years so I see and know the money and work involved in the creation of a track on that scale. Nothing like looking out the back of the powerharrow, looks like butter. Hope the riders show there appreciation as its getting hard too get land to run a track.
Hey Terry thank you so much means a lot !!
Awesomeeeeee 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad you enjoyed the video you should come over and test it out sometime
How sweet do those 125’s sound, I can smell the premix 😎
It smelt so good! As they all meant business so we’re all on race gas !! And the valley just holds in the smell
Terry from Christchurch New Zealand love ua work young man your track and prep is off the chart. Blues4boys.
Hey Terry nice one buddy ! I’ve got a couple of cool riding vids coming up hope you enjoy them !!
