    Tks I've been blasting and painting for years even mobil where everyday I had to set up and break everything to go back to shop. Besides the coupling and the seals and the usual holes in hoses . I've never care to know what each part was called. I just fail a written test for not knowing what parts are named. Ask me what's wrong with the pot paintnor blast and all it takes is go and try to blast and paint. And I'll give you a list or I know how to fix it. So written test said I wasn't a blaster. Lol like real blaster care about books.

    Got on the back side of my hands when spraying once without gloves - nightmare - where it hit the skin - sensitivity has escalated and was very painful for months and I had to wear gloves most of 2-3 years after with cloth inserts - specials soaps to wash with - highest end sanitizers, best antifungal on top of that with a nourishing hydrating lotion to keep rest of formula from making it worse... inside black nitrile gloves + next to impossible to get rid of for 5 years now - special solutions = thousands of micro-surgeries on myself as it literally affects skin regrowing - had to purchase my own dermatology setup because doctors do not have time to treat one patient hours every day it took those first months...So I got a dermatology kit - immunity protection by upper epidermis - gone, out the window, hard to keep peeling from getting bloody and worse - heard about a guy that had a worse case than mine - he died within a year after leading researchers could find no cure - been into biochemistry for 50 years and still have to keep 'on top of it' to keep it from spreading - but finally showing improvement since last Summer - seems like a nano-level genetic disorder - the spray can penetrate atomic structure to adhere better - hazmat protection is recommended when using these sprayers, don't just use cheap latex, and put up little signs with barricades to keep people away, especially when spraying inside. I went back to compressed air sprayers. Even then dangerous solvents of any kind need to be kept off the skin. Thanks for being honest, it's hard to find much about this.

    Hello! Our video uses the rebuild kit on a brand new TeraValve. The Loctite and grease are included for valves that have been used on site, which would have more wear on the components. Not required but included for the what-if scenarios!

    Just an fyi to anyone who might want this to be semi portable, once you physically modify the exterior of a container without properly reinforcing it no responsible company will transport it. If you don’t want to modify the container i recommend running the exhaust vent through the entire container and out the door. I am tinkering with a similar idea but its for a semi down draft paint booth, I will be running the inlet on the ceiling and the outlet will be on the floor with a double door inside the container door. This will not modify the container and if done properly you can essentially ship it anywhere that a container can go.

    No way im putting that hose between my legs. If the hose blows be it a old hose yhats 2 ply or the newer hoses that pinhole there goes you nuts. The over shoulder boulder hold saves the hose for longer life at the cost of your back. The hose in front of you with nozzle chest level gives you more control safely and longer blast days without wearing yourself out. Been doing this for 24 years now.

    it looks smart but you are not telling the truth because the dustless blaster uses about 150 gallons in 6 hours. a dustless blaster is more simple and does not require all kinds of connections to run well every day. I have one of each but thought it was smart enough what you have there for a dry blower system but it is nothing new.

    @@BlastOne what is the difference between a 2 wire or three wire deadman switch ?

  • @BlastOne
    @BlastOne2 ай бұрын

    @@battlewelder Both 2-wire and 3-wire deadman switches are used for remote control systems, especially in applications like abrasive blasting where operator safety is crucial. Here's the key difference: 2-wire deadman switch: This is a simpler design with just two wires. When the operator holds the switch engaged, the circuit is complete and power flows to the equipment. Releasing the switch interrupts the circuit, stopping the equipment. 3-wire deadman switch: This offers an extra layer of safety and reliability. It has a dedicated ground wire in addition to the circuit control wires. This can help prevent accidental operation due to stray currents and improve overall system stability, particularly in harsh environments like blasting operations.

    Well that was a nice little ad for your company but you missed one major point. which you ALMOST got to at the beginning when talking about how much you use a tool. (Warning, check your local tax laws as this might not apply.) Years ago I worked for a tool and equipment rental place (we did have a DYI sandblast booth, but that's not the point). In the summer through early fall we had one guy, whose company intalled underground irrigation systems, come in two or three times a week. Always the same - first a sod cutter, return that, and then rent the tow-behind trencher. After a couple of years I asked him why he didn't just buy the things. He laughed and told me that if he did, his accountant would kill him. It all had to do with tax laws. Where I was at the time, if he spent $30 -35K on this stuff he would only be allowed to claim depreciatiation for about three years. Plus he'd have securely store it and maintain it. If he rented from us, it was a 100% deductable business expense foreveer plus WE got to store it, maintain it and eat the depreciation allowance. I've seen a similar rent/lease arrangement since at a place i recently worked for that had close to a hundred tools from one brand all coded and labelled as their property. Having worked at the rental place I know how much it costs for that tool company to repair their tools (a lot) and how long it takes them to get around to repair them (about equal to the gestational period of a blue whale). To rent or to own can be tricky. If you're using something all day every day, buy. If you're out in the boonies where time or delivery charges will kill you, buy, but buy used wisely. If you're near an rental outlet where the former two don't apply, talk to your accountant.
