Chill variety streamer w/smooth commentary. Let's play and talk about games - and not sweat the small stuff.
I'm a long-time streamer (since 2008) known for playing a variety of games, having a chill and respectful atmosphere, and a methodical & insightful approach to the games I play. My streams feature lots of discussion on game systems and game dev overall.
I've been playing games of all sorts for well over 30 years, starting with the Commodore 64 and Vic-20. Combined with over 10 years of experience in the game industry, I tend to have insights that other streamers might not have & I tend to not be so harshly critical of games.
What Games Do I Play? Primarily retro action games - rogue-lites, shmups, metroidvanias, etc. Lots of indies in particular. I had a long stint with the Dark Souls games, too! I've played over 200 games on stream in the past 10 years.

Now add berserkium and fire from on top of the mountain. Then watch in wonder as most the universe dissapears!
isn't glass cannon also stackable?
@@pinguin4898 it is. But you only need one lol
You might survive. Your pc wont.
I've trained my PC hold its breath for short periods of time. Though I'd better avoid casting larger nukes.
Omg, why did steam change the layout of the button mapping. I have no idea what I'm looking at and I really want to set my controller up like this.
Death bird DON'T @%!^# AROUND 💀
Deadpan American accent with American pronunciation and misplaced emphasis: A-ra A-ra.
The fact that in number three they just replaced what they were censoring with the reason it was censored with just no context to tell you that.
I double-checked and still have no idea what even.
Come the f on is so gass 😂😂😂
Amazing!
Otimo video. Deve ter sido muito empolgante jogar a beta online.
I abuse auto clicker I force ppl to lose pots you can heal in like 1-2 min
I thought about it - I generally have a pretty strict rule in multiplayer games about not automating anything during PvP (especially on the same PC where the game runs). Though I would have used a turbo controller if I had one - even for no other reason than to save my thumb. Steam probably supports that with their controller configuration. I think I'd rather they just fix that bug and give a slight buff to the talisman.
@@JerpDoesGames it’s not bad and not a usable it just makes invasions dreadful the time it takes to be useful any competent host will have a counter too so it’s not abuse but it’s not as fast as you think the game only registers so many clicks so it’s at the same pace of a human spam clicking but I don’t have to bust a section of my forearm
You've convinced me to buy this game. i can't wait to play this!! ✨👀💕 love the video by the way!
Glad you liked it! The game has had so many updates since I last played it - seems like twice as much content nowadays. Tons of neat additions and quality of life stuff.

Weird
I only have a vague guess for what's causing it. The cyclops is a physics object that can be banged around by creatures/terrain and I bet the carry-all's placement preview also has physics enabled. So the attempt to snap the carry-all to the floor of the cyclops interior is also just causing it to bang against the cyclops (and I guess depending on how you move / where you try to place the carry-all, you could bang the cyclops hard enough to tip it over and club the player in the process).
Good god thats a lot of blood
"Yeah I took the blood of every living creature in a square mile and loaded it into the sprinkler system. Then I set the building on fire..."
Na you did that on purpose xD
I had gotten so used to ignoring bad player-written messages that I hadn't even noticed the developer messages stating where each gate went. That and I had the impression that they were always aimed at their destination (for example the one that leads out of Raya Lucaria points towards Miriel... right?).
Can't wait to see how the meta evolves
Bro its op skill
Well played it's not an easy game.
Dude me watching this in 2024 is kinda suck
nonfunctional multiplayer ecosystem go brrr
Holy shit 😂😂@@JerpDoesGames
I played the snes R-types back when i was younger. And now i bought this game and i like it. The dlc is on sale for this game. Are those packs worth it? And whats your favourite pack?
Much of the DLC seems to be "greatest hits" style tributes to each game, so you might want to see which of the older games appeal to you most and try those first. I'm partial to R-Type Final 1, so it might very well be Set 3 (in particular, Stage X5.0: Distorted Ecosystem, a tribute to the Twisted Ecology stage from the original game). Overall the stages seem to be a mix of solid tribute and refinement to the original stages. I have some minor gripes with the stages (such as X3.0 having better music in the original or X5.0 having a better boss in the original), but they otherwise are very well made. Also, the bosses for X2.0 and X6.0 are absurdly hard, though still well-made. I haven't tried the later DLC but everything I've seen so far seems to be pretty high quality stuff. I'll probably make a sweep back around to all of it later on after some work/life stuff settles down and I've finished some of the more recent games I've been diving into. I will say, I'm a bit bummed about how "R-Type Final 3" (sort of a deluxe upgraded version of 2 with at least 7 extra stages) has been split out and made PS5-exclusive. I think it's likely a timed exclusive and I hope Granzella is making a heap of extra cash from the deal, but it sucks to be missing out and that somewhat dampened my enthusiasm.
Oh he's so back
I figured I'd start with something easy, lol.
Not quite shoot this head again 1:32:12
I think I was focused on not getting hit that I wasn't paying much attention to where I was shooting at all.
Wait shoot this head for hydorah 1:30:55
meh, I wasn't so concerned. Damage was happening and I got the 1cc.
What the where are we now 1:28:54
Honestly, if black tornado, spinning weapon, storm caller, etc, are all capable of stun locking players, then crystal release should too. Mages are underpowered.
For the sacrifices you make to get damage out of spells like that alongside the cast time, it should be the most likely to stun out of all those choices. From has overly favored weapon skills despite their much lower barrier to entry.
@@JerpDoesGames I totally agree. And for balance in general, I think all gear and spell requirements need to be raised through the roof. Sick of people saying mages are op just because I guy does (guts sword crouch poke > giants hunt > swift pebble) and it kills them. Like, that's not a MAGE, he could've just used fan daggers which are better tbh, and you got your soft cap HP with both health talismans nearly two shotted, by a giant sword that pokes as fast as a spear and has so much hyper armor that it turns every hit into a trade, leaving you with no attack window, but it's the finisher that's broken?
@@CoolGuy-pn1vm the requirements are fine - the major issue is that damage scales too high once you pass about RL60-80.

Wrath of 'gods'
That's the official name for the spell. "Wrath of God" was the name in Demon's Souls and followed its own separate lore (where miracles and sorcery are both sourced from the Old One and thus 'God' in that world is yet another falsehood, as per the Talisman of Beasts).
Faith is just best
bruh i just had a wand with like 5 super fireballs on it with a 4x dupe spell and explosion immunity. it was the most violent and fun wand ive ever used
I think I've been missing out - they added all of these extra spells and modifiers that I haven't yet encountered. There were some sort of symbol or musical note icons that seemed to have really powerful, unusual properties as well.
The timing of the ladder kicks to the music was A+. Also, what a hectic battle. The elevator bit was great! Nothing like shipping phantoms off to another floor for a bit, heh.
Crossbows were so good in ds3 as an offhand poke tool
I think I was a large part of why they were so nerfed in ER. Had 'em equipped or available as a swap in every DS3 build.
Game devs for such a serious game sure do love their pranks🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bro I was at the malenia gate with my buddy trading a few things before we gave it a shot (and failed) and some dude who’s like level 100 tries to comet azur us right out the gate and gets j swamped😭 dude had to just be doing the invasions to get to mohg s realm or sum
Could've just been someone looking to find people stuck in a giant-laser-friendly corridor. Spell has pretty solid damage if it can continually hit the target. Worthless otherwise.
This is why you should always love the giant...unless you're making a bow build then kill him for the ring
Failed spiritual successor games sure is a thing for modern gaming lol.. from seeing the failed spiritual successors like mighty no 9 and the callisto protocol and Back 4 blood, that are three of the spiritual successor games that I know of that flop hard while the other games still hold up to date from seeing how well they did. From seeing how mega man 11 did so well and the dead space remake did so well than the callisto protocol and left 4 dead 2 still does really well for being an old Zombie game that is still better than back 4 blood that ends up getting abandoned to be left 4 dead for good lol! which I just wonder what will be the next Spiritual successor game that will failed hmmmmmmm. 🤔
I'm still intending to try Mighty No.9 at some point. I hear the game mechanics might actually be alright and just it's somewhat ugly especially relative to the original concept art. No idea what could be the next failed spiritual successor - it sometimes feels like original developers for popular games/franchises get the perfect combination of motivation, availability, and funding almost at random (it's super difficult to get all three of those to line up, for sure).
@@JerpDoesGames That's what I'm thinking too, from seeing this new trend for gaming from seeing how original developers from the game franchises they have work on. Try to make something new by making a spiritual successor to that original game franchise but only to failed so hard while the original game would either still Do well or would get a new game that would be way more successful than the spiritual successor.
The strong utility of the offhand crossbow in ds3 I learned from you went in every build I did, I wish they were as good in elden ring
I think I got crossbows nerfed in Elden Ring after Dark Souls 3 in the same way that magic was nerfed in Dark Souls 3 after I was destroying people with spells in Dark Souls 2. Throwing items are the new hotness for Elden Ring - the scaling for all of them is like the Meteorite Staff, and they all have surprisingly good base AR too.
This was enjoyable. Thanks for getting it up here!
wait........ the Eclipse shotel is fixed right?.... RIGHT?
Yeah, as of 1.09.
They fixed the eclipse shotel a long time ago. They just recent fixed bleed and frost
hehehe oh no this video only confused me even more i suck so bad
I probably should've presented it as a more advanced thing, especially when talking about rebinding the cumbersome default controls, etc.
A+ content, excited to see more
Is that the Dragon's Dogma soundtrack I hear? Great choice! Btw: what level were you invading at if you don't mind my asking?
Pretty sure I was RL60 on that build - was pushing to see how far I could push the Erdsteel dagger and that morphed into somewhat of a faith caster / battlemage.
You are getting there ;)
wat
I've only seen this enemy once and I've been playing the game for 9 years
I feel like I've come across a lot of vagrants solely due to invading a bunch. I don't remember the exact rules for how they spawn but I think a lot of making the ones that last long enough to notice (the crab ones rather than the egg ones) was making sure they weren't killed (or encountered?) before they were sent to another player's world - for example if the player is too busy dying to an invader.
dat secret of mana music at the end
You opinion abou L4D2 is one I rarely hear but also one I share, even though both games are phenomenal and created a new genre of games for good reasons L4D2 loses the atmosphere of the original quite a bit.
I can't blame them for designing it how they did - it probably appeals to way more people. But yeah, I would rather share a tense, immersive experience instead of a party game that feels like the developers are actively trying to dissuade me from getting invested in.
That Capy always being so chill while wrecking havoc 😍
