I recall going to this place to get NES games in late 1994 and even in 1995 following the NES’s death rattle (in other words, the Nintendo Entertainment System’s End of Lifespan). We got lots of games there, including two well-known Disney Afternoon based games Capcom made - Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers and DuckTales. We also got Zelda II from that place as well. Zappers may be gone, but thanks to KZread (not only seeing this commercial but watching long plays of that DuckTales game and such), I feel so happy.

That lineup doesn’t look too bad, actually. Even though the Mets were 59-103, their pythagorean record was 73-89, which makes them roughly indistinguishable from all of the OTHER 70-win teams of mediocrity from the Wilpon era. Their undoing was their bullpen (especially Schorek and Franco) and lack of depth once injuries set in. Definitely the bottoming out of a franchise that dominated the previous decade in name, only.

Every time I read stories or watch videos about the haunted Grand Island Holiday Inn the haunted room number is different. The story I read about was that the hotel was built on Native American land that saw action or was the site of a temporary British cemetery during the Revolutionary War. Now, there was supposedly an excavation by a team of researchers connected to one of the local colleges that was collecting war artifacts including Indian remains. The story went on to say the team started acting irrationally toward each other, slinging insults, violent gestures and outright uncharacteristic threats until the team moved away from the dig site. I tried to qualify this story but couldn’t. No archeological team, no revolutionary war dig (near the hotel), no ghost witnesses, no haunted rooms. Incidentally I forgot to mention this story explained the cemetery disturbance drove the spirit or spirits into the hotel. Why? I don’t know.

Ted's is awesome, always has been & always will be. I go to Ted's I don't know how many times a year. It's usually my go to place after I donate blood (it just became sort of a tradition for my younger sister and I), but we go there a lot of times just for the fun of it. Sahlen's hotdogs are awesome. The split (fries and onion rings) is something we also like to get, whenever we go there. I've eaten at at least 6 different Ted's locations, including 1 that used to be in the Eastern Hills Mall and 1 that used to be in Lockport, over near the new Wal-Mart, both of which have been closed down for a while.
