it would be interesting to see how they look after wearing them for some time (for example after 2 or 3 month) cuz mine was looking fucked up. not because i was waering them a lot. the quality was just not good something is wrong. i have original jordan that look better then theses after just two month wearing. and btw they just looked like these in the video!

Mannnnnnnnnnnn for someone that ran track back in the 90’s I’ve never gravitated to Nike whatsoever. If I was going casual then hell yeah I threw on some air max (1, 90s, 95s, 97s, TNs). They were just too bulky and heavy back then. I also remember when Nike basketball ruled the market back in the 90’s too. Now you see all the Nike basketball shoe in the outlets in masses. It’s good from a consumer standpoint but as a brand it’s not a good look.

Another huge issue is they do collabs in limited quantities as well as GRs like kobes as well limited. If you have millions of fans of kobe, travis scott, off white etc how the in the hell 30k-200k pairs will cover millions that want the pairs?

Nike doesnt have someone like Teddy Santis on NB. He the one that brought Joe Freshgoods, Salehe Bembury, Action Bronson, ... NB collabs to me are way more interesting than lost Nike collabs Im seeing. NB have some toned down collabs, and some wild ones, so you can actually find everything you're looking for. I dont buy Jordans anymore, except when they're releasing an OG colorway. How many versions of the same shoe does one need ? NB are way more comfortable, and the leather, suede they use make their shoes way more premium than any Jordan ever could, even with the mesh. Also they're not stuck in the past. They're making evolutions of their flagship models from 990v1 to the 990v6. With better technology to make the shoes more comfortable and stable, even the OG's are buying the new models, because it justifies the price. Jordan always failed to sell anything that isnt a retro model, and even when they try something different like team jordans and stuff, nobody fucking with that. So Nike community is partly to blame for that, for actually not giving a chance to new models while still complaining that they release the same things 🤷 I too grew heavily influenced by basketball sneakers, but that doesnt mean people taste cant change. I feel like NB are way more versatile anyway, while Jordans only give you that street, atleisure style. I would 100% buy quality products like NBs than some cheap abominations like Yeezys. Also Nike IS trying to bring that casual style back in basketball sneakers, with the DBook 1, but watch how the Adidas AE1 is smoking that model in sales, even if it's not a casual looking sneakers at all. People are just tired of seeing the same stuff again and again. And that's justified .

Agree with your point. I got into sneakers when Nike basketball was peaking and it hasn’t been the same since. Looking back it was a perfect balance of the performance and hype cultures. Shoes were popular enough to be credible on the street but didn’t sell out in .5 seconds so they were available for your high school hooper who wanted something fly.

I’d argue Nike is more innovative than every other sneaker company. When you’re at the top you’re going to have some rainy days. Other companies are doing great things. I think they should reduce the amount of sneakers released and just release what people want as far as retros are concerned. Alphafly’s sell out at a $285 price point. Also Jordan brand has profits have been trending upwards and it is kind of the most redundant line.
