I like it man good 4 speed that originally came with the car …..a lot of people swap the transmissions out and go with th400 or 4l60 to handle more hp but the the 700r4 can handle up to about 450-500hp that’s what it’s rated for from factory even though the cars they came in are only pushing about 300hp stock 😂

Did you install it or had it professionally installed?

I did pretty much everything to the car myself bro all the new parts that aren’t originally from the manufacturer you see I installed in the process of restoring this vehicle

Max I believe about 500 hp wouldn’t try anything more than that anything above 500 I think you would have to just buy a beefer transmission

Chevy happened those have terrible cooling systems The fans cut on at 235 instead of 210 The water pumps are trash The intakes are trash the coolant port on the back passenger is a flat block by the intake causing air pockets to get caught and superheat causing the passenger head to get real fuckin hot And to top it off instead of the valves being positioned I E I E I E I E like a ford they made it I E I E E I E I causing cyl 4 and 6 to get to about 600 degrees at the header primaries which typical coupled with overheating causes the head to crack on the passenger side between the exhaust valves

It’s a lot of dudes I see buy these 3rd gen Camaros they change the engine out with a rebuilt 350 or do a ls swap and run into issues with their car overheating even after they install a new radiator new fan shroud with new radiator hoses along with a new thermostat but most people don’t think to swap the old heater core out which is a key component to the vehicles cooling/heater system this is must do on a car over 20 years old as most parts fail due to natural wear& tear over time if the heater core leaks under pressure it will cause your car not to have the proper amount of coolant required to cool the engine also make sure you guys keep that air dam underneath by the front bumper as well it is designed to scoop air up from under the car to flow through the radiator

Whats ur review on these gauges?
@don_dota Жыл бұрын
So far they are ok Rpm gauge is accurate battery gauge is accurate Speedometer is too but instead of using the speed sensor they sent in the kit when you order the digital dash that screws on where the speed cable on the transmission goes I spent the extra $140 & bought the Intellitronx S9020 GPS Speedometer Sending Unit that just connects to the dash instead of routing the 3 wires from Transmission under the car to the dash board it’s a easier install process ….. oil pressure gauge is accurate too only problem I’ve been having is the fuel level gauge even though I put a new fuel pump and sending unit in the car gauge only reads %70 full at topped off tank instead of 100 think it’s due to the baffle in the tank or floating device on the sending unit arm haven’t had a chance to change the floatation device yet & put a bigger one to see if it solves the issue fuel gauge also bounces around sometimes when driving on uneven surface roads and you hit a bump or pot hole
