I'm from JHB, was born in a small town in EC. We saw wild animals growing up in the 80s and 90s. I now work in Limpopo and there is a leopard 🐆 ( you heard correctly) roaming around and chowing wild pigs and game around the game farms. It has kids too. Not only are my colleagues reporting this, but the farmers around too. To say 95% of South Africans have never seen these animals is entirely false. When I first moved to Limpopo from JHB, there was a story on the newspapers about a similar story. Because animals are now confined into mostly zoos doesn't mean people don't see them.

Remember, this video is talking about Estates in Johannesburg which you call "Gated communities" in America, but there are other great Gated communities or Estates in the City and there are great suburbs which are not Gated communities or Estates which are very rich in the City of Johannesburg.
