Don’t feel too bad about the chain being backwards I messed up waaaay worse on my first shadow chain I put some links back onto it cause it was too short and all the links I put back on I didn’t realize until way later just those few links were put on in a strip upside down so the chain was fine up until I put real pressure on it started to feel it grind and was wondering why and then I tried to go fast, fell and rebroke my wrist 😂 I saw it later as I was looking at the chain and I was like “yup… I’m an idiot”
@aurteekay633910 күн бұрын
With that being said, be sure to look super closely at all your links you may have had the chain in a circle like I did when you put it together and didn’t realize it wasn’t the right way. you have to look so close and carefully hold it in a straight line to see it. It’s weird idk why it’s designed that way tbh I had the same grinding sound though

Dude great video. Never built a wheel despite being in a chair for 35 years and having them built. Decided to do this set myself and did both in under an hour! Thank you! I will say, I hope I wasn't the only one cussing like Happy Gilmore....."Get in your hole spoke! Don't you want to go home! This is your home spoke!" Then that sneeze hit and some poo came out and I had to regroup! Great video though thank you. Clear, easy and good camera work for a difficult project. Now......onto the tailwhip video so I can whip my chair! LOL

if kicking feels natural do it, it’s another thing to coordinate tho if you have the whip around dialed with your wrist standing next to bike, then dao’s keep your legs together & tucked is next step true snapping around on the ground seems nearly impossible first few times. Then it becomes a snap. plus u can land crank arm too.

fact is I am still working on tailwhips. I have the whip dialed off the bike. On the pedals, my feet feel glued to them,coordinating hoping, whipping & jumping off bike gonna take a sec

A really good video except your valve hole ended up where the spokes crossed instead of in the nice big gap between the parallel spokes next door like you had it on the other wheel you showed. Just tell them to rotate the hub the other way after the first round. Still a very good easy to follow video.

Wow this is so weird and based on the comments seems pretty common! I’ve had my hub apart 3 times(maintenance/greasing) and it’s never had an issue. I use white lithium grease(great for metal on metal wear) also 2 of my good friends have rode this hub HARD for 7-8 years and never had any issues. I absolutely love mine so I’m gonna get some parts to rebuild it incase it ever blows up, looks like that needle bearing is where the issue is. I believe the clutch pro replaced it with a sealed bearing there

For people wanting a step by step. Pop off the non drive hubguard collet(what the hubguard sits on) Remove snap ring Make sure driver is disengaged(moves freely one way rotate it in that direction a turn or two) Now you can tap on the axel from the non drive side and after that spin the driver the same way as disengaging it to remove it. You can now tap the axel out from the drive side to remove all of the rest of the internals Posting this for myself as well
