Have a Syndicate Omni from a couple of years back. I really struggled on deep water starts until I a) put ALL my weight on my front foot (I start with both feet in) and b) held the handle down on my front binding to help left the ski higher. After that, hardly ever miss a start now.

Thanks for this videos! I wondering; Which brand do you recommend? D3 or Radar? I am a decent experienced skier on open water. I like to make high sprayer and want a ski that can make shorter turns than my current Obrien ski. When you choose Radar ski's, what do you think; fits the Senate or the Vapor ski to my situation? Many thanks for your answer! Best regards from Holland.

Hhaha sick review, what was that mumbling at the end ? They got lost ? :D I just picked up a pair of 2021 Deacon 80. Very excited to try them out in the alps next january. Question about the lowrider bindings and the integrated raised 3D plate, do they really feel lower than normal and the plate more supple or is that sales talk ?

hello i'm looking at a similar ski but can't find much info on it. 77 IT LT (LT stands for long turns apparently. Seems to have the same construction as 79 but since atomic doesn't list it on its site I can't be sure, seems like a model for some retail chains only find it here and 1 site in europe. I guess i wonder if it will have the same stiffness i'm looking for in a lighter ski for a heavier on piste skier who like steep flat black runs and short turns with edge hold - www.sportsexperts.ca/en-CA/p-vantage-77-ti-ltm-10-gw-mens-all-mountain-alpine-skis/86198/86198-2. I'm 225 lbs 5 11 pretty good shape, used to do moguls and bowls, not so much now. I guess i'm looking for nice spring on short turns on hard packed snow or ice in steep wide piste hiways

I would say pick according to how you feel when skiing. Like high speed, go longer. Like super short turns and playfulness go shorter. Skies nowadays if you ask me should be mostly be related with your weight and your character.

But I suppose that if Head were to go back to the 78 and 82i monsters they would be compelled by current industry zeitgeist and give em deep side cuts with 130cm tips so they can be "frontside carvers" very much unlike my Monster 78is. I'll just wait for the pendulum or demo elswhere even though I'd rather just replace em with head.

  • @joesalemi2414

I love my head Monster 78i. 88s just seem way too fat for most of the skiing I do here Midwest and about 15 days summit county. I wish head would get their sensibilities back for the 78s and 82s. I would get the 82s this time but no real need for Monster 88s sure.

i'm 5'10" and 165lbs. Trying to get into freestyling and will spend most of my time on groomers playing around. Would you recommend the 153 or 155? Thinking of 153 but am afraid that it'll be too choppy on groomers.
