    It would be a good idea to make a "coockbook" about the Leibniz Subsystem, more description than the manual and about the system concept, etc. If it would be not free, I would order it because I am really interested in that system depth! thanks!!!

    Superb! Please can you recommend some modules I can used to connect to the Hel inputs and set the notes? Ideally I’d like something with knobs or sliders so it’s easy to tweak. Thanks!

    Horrible demo… I was looking for a simple demo of the functionality and basic features, and this is what the Google engine showed at the top of the list? Can’t barely see anything because of the hands obstructing the view. Why show 4 chained instead of a simple demonstration of what 1 can do?

    Presumably Gera could be used with Erfurt for modification of pattern generation, in a similar fashion to Lipsk, except instead of inverting bits from Erfurt, it would add bits instead? And presumably both Gera & Lipsk could be connected simultaneously to Erfurt? Am I understanding this correctly?

  • @xaocdevices13
    @xaocdevices13 Жыл бұрын

    If you want to add Gera after Erfurt and before some kind of output (or longer chain of modules) it'll just block bits that you'll switch off on Gera (it can be done dynamically with gate ins and this is real fun!). This is useful if you want to have more controlled or sparse sequence (It'll work good in chain like Erfurt>Gera>Jena) or if you want to experiment with feedbacks (for example Lipsk>Erfurt>Gera>back to Lipsk). Another interesting way of using it is, let say classic AND where you combine two complete streams of data one connected on the back and second on the front. Just remember that Gera needs two high states to present high state on output it is different behavior to Lipsk, not just opposite. In my opinion Gera is especially useful in set with Erfurt and Lipsk it is nice little combo to generate all kinds of rhythm patterns, that you can vastly expand with each additional module (Jena or another Erfurt for more outputs, I think it is nice idea to keep balance of ins and outs in Leibniz).

    @@xaocdevices13 OK, thanks (this whole 8-bit system takes some wrapping your head around). Tom Churchill's video on Erfurt and Lipsk is what really piqued my interest. It would be well worth sending him a Gera & asking him to make another video.

    It would be nice if there was a module that could be like a patchbay for the the Leibniz bus. I know you have one that does this but it seems rather limited, with only two selectable inputs and two outputs. With this bus in so many of your units something that could give flexible routing that could be switched form the front panel would be nice

  • @CinematicLaboratory
    @CinematicLaboratory5 ай бұрын

    Totally agree so far. I've been wondering if there's an 'order of modules' to work with, but it seems there are tons of options just by routing the modules.

    I like XAOC products and I have this module with the expander. But.... this one is let down by the cumbersome interface with too many long button presses with no feedback, too many functions on each button and confusing modes - it is a muddle. My brain isn't powerful enough to remember which mode I have to be in and which long button press I need to use, what the LED colours mean, etc. It's a rabbit warren of button presses that needs constant reference to the manual when using. I just do basic sequencing with it now.
