I started this channel for my daughter that loves to watch daddy “find treasure “ so i started recording my adventures! Located in Ct USA
I jumped into the hobby in December of 2020 and have been hooked since! I have met some awesome people and learned a lot so far! Cant wait to show you what surprises i pull from the ground! I primarily detect old homesites, cellar holes, farm fields, and anywhere i can save some history! This really is THE best hobby! *** new content includes bottle/dump digging, artifact hunting, and other adventures!

My silver tester must be fake 😂
Why do you say that?
@@TheFinderGuy just kiddin. Because I didn’t know how to use it. Turns out my temu silver came out blue on a men’s bracelet and 3 rings. All listed and marked as s925. Thing is the bracelet was like $3.00. The melt value of the weight would be around $15.00. Lol. Killer deal. None of it I would say is really a rip off. It’s priced low enough. But why Mis lead ? Ya know? Ofcourse my Buffalo round that I tested. Came out red. All thanks to your video here. I am able to properly test it all out. And verify that my tester is infact 100% authentic 😂
@rokinrandy yea, lol definitely would have expected that from a website like that. And I agree, why bother faking it if you’re gonna price it that cheap anyway 😆. Glad I was able to help!
New subscriber here. Awesome button
Thank you! And welcome!
How about silver plated?
I don’t believe the thin amount of silver plating would show up with the test
Great video Patrick! Hope you're staying cooled off in this heat! I need a day of finds like this! HH
Thanks! This heat and humidity has been brutal!
Epaulette key
What’s that?
can you tell the difference between 925, 900 and 800 silver?
I don’t think a regular acid test can determine purity
@@TheFinderGuy i hoped it might show up brighter. no money for one of those fancy machines
@lancemillward2462 it might be possible, but I personally can’t tell the difference. Some pawn or coin shops have those machines. I recommend calling around to see who has one in you area
had a blast diggin wit ya bud lol,, nice vid
Thanks man
Haven't heard from you or Steph in a while. Great hunt, well done,,,
Sorry, life’s been wild, you know how it goes. I did schedule a good one for next week already though! 😁
Nice, haven’t seen you in a while!
Yea, it’s been a while. Hopefully I will get back on a more regular schedule
Next time - space out the scratchings... also - what about 45% silver test? I'm about to buy a roll of silver solder from a guy on Ebay and I'll meet him locally with the test kit.
I haven’t tried it on anything less than 90%. I imagine it would would still work to some extent
Nice save ( ;
Thanks! 😄
Por favor queremos que nos expliquen en español muchas gracias
I’m sorry, my Spanish is not very good
THANK YOU! I could nit understand how one could tell....the paper towels does it!
You’re absolutely welcome!
You definitely had yourself a day!
Absolutely!
Sweet Rosa Americana!
Thanks!
You can also use a white stone to see the color better.
I’m sure that would work as well
Many people use the 18k but for accurate results and to know the purity of silver you are checking ,the silver solution is best but it can be complicated to understand, which makes sense why people use the 18 k.
I’ve never tried the 18k for silver. I’ll have to give it a go sometime
Well done! I have seen several of these videos and yours is the clearest, most detailed but still concise.
Thank you! I appreciate that
Before I see the find, 27 on my Nox 800 is a silver dime. Well I'd happily take an old beauty of shoe buckle frame for sure. Great find!!
One of my favorite numbers to see!
Amazing!
Hell yea!
Fantastic! Finally a video that really helped me find out about silver. Some things i thought were silver are actually white gold, and others now I know they are silver. Thanks!!!
Glad I could help!
It looks like a part of a belt buckle.
1790s shoe buckle frame. (Half of one)
Awesome find ❤ I love even just finding pieces of those. 😁
It’s my first! 😍
Applied silver one that is *
Boom 💥 💥 that's Awesome!!
Heck yea!!
Thanks for explaining it a bit further. I was having a real hard time looking at the stone & acid bead itself. All I could see was a black blob. Looking at your drops, they look as black as mine! I've watched people testing and they seemed to just look and know. I was sure my acid was bad. But now I'll try again and see if I can make it work. When they say it might show as creamy white, how will you see that? Now, if I can just get used to my Kee gold tester, I'll be in business!
No problem! I’m not sure about the creamy white, I haven’t heard that. Gold can definitely be tricky, especially with heavily plated items
Hello, any idea on that brass plug Matt got? I also found one in an old field, great hunt guys!
Nothing definitive unfortunately
Thanks so very much! This is super helpful!! It is so difficult to see from just putting the acid on the silver.
No problem! Happy to help!
Good find 👍
Thanks 👍
Good fine😮
Thank you!
Nice save ❤
Thanks 😁
Very sweet unearthing an old coin . It’s been waiting for you for a long time.
Thanks! It was really exciting!
Let’s go let’s go treasure and adventure 🌺🎉💕✌️👵🌎🇺🇸
Yes!
Great fucking hunt,,,oops,,,LOL. Love that you are still using minelab. Seems like every other channel is bailing on the Equinox. The 800 is still doing me good, hoping next year maybe the 900 or Manticore,,,Looking forward to more of your videos,,,,Don,,,
😂😂😂 I absolutely love my 600. This year especially I feel like I have it dialed in pretty well. I’m gonna be running this machine for a while. Thanks for watching!
Holy crap ! Amazing finds in this one Patrick, i haven’t had a hunt like this in a while.
Thanks!! It had been a while for me too!
I think I like unedited Patrick better.😂
😂😂 yes!!
Nice finds guys. Thanks for sharing. You guys are ricking it!
Thank you!!
Beats the suicide note i found in a bottle
Yikes!!
I need to do this on a random piece of jewlery i found, it seems like silver vut theres no marking on it
Good luck! Hope it’s silver!
I found one recently as well
Who was the KZreadr you are referencing in the video?
Honestly, I have no idea who it was
Could I join you on your next field hunt
I don’t hunt with strangers 😜
@@TheFinderGuy I'm George, now we are no longer strangers
@@GeorgeElliott-xp4mh lol! Were you from George?
@TheFinderGuy Delaware, I'm trying to find my first Indian head penny, lol. Trust me, I'm totally normal.
@@GeorgeElliott-xp4mh lol I believe you. I’m up In CT. Best advise I have on that is find an old house and try to get permission. Ive found some really decent condition Indians in yards of late 18, early 1900s houses
Thank you so much. You saved me an hour of research.
No problem!

Hello, I just watched your video and I have a question, so what brand or name is that Acid that you're using?
I just use the acid that’s meant for testing silver in the precious metal testing kits they sell on Amazon. I believe it contains nitric and muriatic acid
@@TheFinderGuyno not nitric and muriatic(aqua regia) What you have is known as Schwerter's solution. Concentrated nitric acid 3/4 of one ounce, water 1/4 ounce and I believe 1 gram of potassium dichromate. There are videos that show you how to make it. I believe Sreetips on KZread has a video. Hope this helps.
@@joeyl.rowland4153 thanks for the info…. I was just saying what I read on the bottle of the acid I use.
@@TheFinderGuy I see. The reason I know is aqua regia will almost immediately precipitate silver chloride(looks like snow in the liquid) Schwerter's turns red, the more pure your silver the more it will look like blood. At 800 fine silver it will appear brown red. Doesn't work well on 500 fine.
@@joeyl.rowland4153 good to know, thanks!
What kt,of acid did you use ? I've heard to use 14 kt.
I’ve never used the gold testing acid for silver. I use the acid specifically for testing silver. It contains nitric and muriatic acid
Nice finds guys & welcome back Pat.
Thanks!!
I went to my local tile supplier and got a white tile... he gave me a free offcut. Works well.
Never thought of that! That’s a good idea!
Oh! Thank you so much. I've been so confused.
No problem at all! Glad I could help!
excellet! Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Good to see you back.
Thanks Tony!
