It’s too bad Bernie Parent and Rick MacLeish weren’t healthy. That would have made this more competitive.

Ten years after the Houston Rockets became the first NBA team in the Southern United States to win Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the Tampa Bay Lightning became the first NHL team in the Southern United States to win Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

I loved Moose Dupont back then. Mr clutch with the Moose shuffle when scoring a goal. Great memories as a teenager growing up in Oxford Circle

I’m a Ducks fan and was only 6 when Kariya made his return to Anaheim and had no idea he got booed that badly. Sad because he literally gave everything he had as a Duck and paid the price with his body. Those same fans were probably at his jersey retirement cheering him on.

As much as I hate the Islanders as a life long Rangers fan, I respect the talent of those Cup winning teams (despite all the abuse that I took in high school on Long Island during this period as only one of two Rangers fans in my class).
