With all due respect, you need to invest in studying first rather than in gear. It's going to save you a lot of money. Using the grid and putting the light that far away from the subject only tell us that you randomly put them there without thinking or measuring. I know things can get nervous, rushed or stressed, but always take your time to think about what you are doing. However, you are only going to find a solution IF you have a solid understanding of the basics.

  • @kipling1957

Might not be a problem for you using Sony but I have the shinobi. Love it for its lightweight and low battery draw. My only issue is that when shooting outdoors, you’ll need to up the brightness (obviously) where my issue has come is that the panel at higher brightness while using focus peaking, the image becomes mushy and hard to tell if I’m nailing focus. I have since been using the ninja v instead and I feel that it’s clearer to see but at the cost of the ninja v being more power hungry even when not recording with it.

I have the 16-inch 64GB M3 Max and I thought long and hard about getting the 14-inch. It looks so svelte with 95 per cent of the power of the 16-inch. Ultimately I went big with the better cooling of the 16-inch. But the 14-inch is the laptop Bruce Wayne whips out to send a message without sending a message.

You created a great statement man. "It's a dumb concept to think if you show up with expensive stuff vs the same expensive price equipment that don't look like the other... you will be judged". (In formality of course lol) Great stuff bro! So true though. I'm just getting cranked up and have my first realistic client meeting on Tuesday and I hope to get it. Another quote I'm sending tonight for another client in Houston Texas hope to get that for sure. Great video and inspirational my guy. But hey, don't over-complicate it. Dear, the light is too far from the interviewee. Look at the frame on the camera, and the distance you positioned the light from your client. You need to bring it closer. Sure, you're right about the output of your Amaran 200x, but on the other hand, you should indeed have positioned the lighting closer to each interviewee. Just subscribed. Great content.

There are many steps to consider before you call out your light being not strong enough. You can always move closer your light source. Play with your softbox and the diffusers.
