  I don't fix it. I tried, but usually, the problem disappeared until I came to the mechanic. On my car, this problem was maybe once a week or once in 6 months and lasted for 1 day to a week. Just got used to it. Everybody experiences different. In my case, the mechanic said it would be more hassle to find a problem, and I will not be gonna be happy for the bill.

  Mine does not have the silver part, if i screw it off the whole silver part including a black part comes off as one piece.. How do i get the black piece of the knob?

  By my mechanic, it is one or more signal receivers failing. In this car, about 5 or 7 receivers. He said it hard to identify which one, and it will be too expensive to find out and fix it. He recommended driving until it broke and then fixing it.😀 My car does this 6 years occasionally but never failed.

  @Dalasplus Hi again. I'm having a similar problem again 🤦🏽‍♀️ My windscreen wash was working fine. The tank ran out and when refilled, nothing was coming out. A friend looked at it and said, he could hear the pump trying to work, but nothing was coming out. The wipers work fine. If you are still doing videos with the A150, might you be able to show me what to do/how to fix in a video please, if possible 😁😁😂 Ty Dalasplus 🙃

  Hi, I still have A Class. But you see, I have no problem to fix. And without seeing it, myself I can't help. Sorry. Only I can advise on a few things. I don't know where you live, but if recently was cold, your sprays could be frozen for some time or hose, which provides liquid pulled off and is discharging somewhere else. Maybe what's why you hear pump, but nothing was spraying. Or your pump is just making sound, but not pulling any water. Hope that's helpful. Please update me if you can. Thank you 🙂

  Never done it with programmed replacement key, but I believe it should work, because it reads your immobiliser code and unless your key is same designed shape as original. But recommend to discuss with someone who programming keys.

  @Dalasplus omg, ty so so much for doing this video for me. The year range is 2005 to 2008? My car is 08. I will be doing this ASAP and let you know how I got on. The mirror i brought from ebay arrived damaged 🙄 so need to get a refund n get another ordered. Get a lil help from my dad and install. Can we just connect back the wires and turn engine on to check, before putting door panel back? I cant thank you enough 😊😊

  Yes you can connect and check before putting panel back up. It not really matter 05 or 08 they very familiar. Do you have basic mirror or power folding? Happy to help 🙂

  Yes you right, but just because thred is deeper than original. I put inside the nob 3 mm rubber and it not allow go deeper then it should and gears work perfectly🙂

  Mine was the same, but after reading these replies looked for a rubber washer, could not find one but had a rubber band, pushed that into the centre hole and screwed it up really tight and BINGO it worked a treat, so thanks to this post of yours Jon, it got the answers you and I wanted.

  Thanks for sharing, did not realised that it so hard to move the nasal. Can I have to use force to move the nasal side way (ie to the left / to the right) as I do not want to damage the nasal? I used to drive different cars and the water spray nasal can easily be adjusted without using any force.
