Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group's original line-up consisted of Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals, chief songwriter after 1981), Andy Fletcher (keyboards) and Vince Clarke (keyboards, chief songwriter 1980--81). Clarke left the band after the release of their 1981 debut album, Speak & Spell, and was replaced by Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums, occasional songwriter) with Gore taking over songwriting. Wilder left the band in 1995; Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have since continued as a trio.
Depeche Mode have had 48 songs in the UK Singles Chart and twelve top 10 albums in the UK charts, two of which debuted at No. 1. According to EMI, Depeche Mode have sold over 100 million albums and singles worldwide, making them the most successful electronic band in music history.

Andy Fletcher always played down Alan's contribution
As a musician, Alan is the biggest musical influence in my life
These videos make me so sad. DM without Alan feels like a totally different band, and not in a good way. They should have fought to keep him, but that was never going to happen with Martin and Fletch calling the shots. I'm glad that the Hall of Fame used a picture from 1989 that included Alan. Predictably, the band used a modern image on their own Facebook, but I'm happy that the official Hall of Fame picture is of the four of them - including Alan.
Я так скучаю...... Алан - ты супер композитор, мега, хочу слушать вчера........ Ты даёшь те ноты, которые слышат.......
Not been the same since
his fireplace is bigger than my apartment :) awesome video
Alan Wilder ist still, benath Brian Eno one of the greatest Musicans!
It's a shame thar Wilder won't rejoin with Depeche Mode, he should reconsider after all this time
He was the SOUND of Depeche Mode.
That piano playing was so nice.
I'm still wondering after all these years who was able to get that Emax. I've seen these videos when the auctions happened but of course they were far out of reach so to speak lol
To me, Alan has always been the essence of the DM sound. It was a huge letdown for me when he left the band. I do sympathize with all 4 members that their styles of working did not match for everyone to be happy about the process and the result, but man, what a letdown.
Why did you quit Depeche Mode?
Shame they could see their magic and get through the issues. I have no liked any DM record after he left. Thats just me.
Alan, we miss you so much, you are so special, you are awesome. We love you Alan ❤❤
It is so emotional
DM pure and original ADN
Mr. Depeche Mode himself...
I hope Alan gets paid something from DM records. He transformed shit demos into platinum.
Schade,die Hintergrundgeräusche stören sehr.
still regretting discovering this after many years since its happening and not having the chance to even participate to the auction
How the hell do you let Alan Wilder leave your group? They needed to pay the man 💰, get Dave into rehab, and bend the knee to this musical genius. DM has been “meh” ever since. Don’t believe me? What songs get the best audience reaction when they play live these days.
❤❤❤
The Maestro himself and Genius Mr.Wilder
What's the song at 2:49
It's a remix of never let me down again, kinda hip hop, I don't know what is called that remix
@@Taremioca69 i actually thought it was a Depeche mode song for a minute
Thank you for the music been a big fan since the 80s...❤️ from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Same here. Nung iniwan niya ang banda hindi na the same ang Depeche. He's vital to the band's sound.
That bit from 101, when he did the demo, was hands down my favorite part of the entire movie!
You look familar ! I've got to have that rug! What lovely color
Where is he now??
Wow, Allan Wilder is the Gene Simmons of Depeche Mode! He had, and probably still has so much vintage stuff from the past.❤👌👍
So sad 🤧
Not the piano. NO..................🙀
Alan Wilder the music genius who was the sound creator of Depeche Mode.
Alan on drums is... _something else_ entirely. I can't really describe it since I'm not a proper musician but I enjoy his drums way more than Christian. sorry Christian.
Sample KING "It's all there" *wiggles fingers* I'm not crying, you're crying!
Does anyone know what "Other" disks might be available from Alan's collection? I learned how to play piano/keyboards at 14 on by playing along to every DM album with a budget Yamaha PSS-460 synth. Would love to get access to the Black Celebration tour disks/sounds and/or back tracks to play along again. BC was the first time I saw DM live at 15 years old at Irvine Meadows in CA,USA, then I was also at 101. The MFTM/SOFAD sounds are the holy grail, but my inner child would love those 86 and older sounds they played live not on the auction disks. Thank you if someone in the know is reading this message and can respond.
Once you’re gone you’re gone. Unless you’re Nigel Tufnell, then you can come back.
🔥🩷✨🖤💫
Todos se recuperaron. Él se fué... "Y la banda siguió tocando..." Nada igual obviamente. El corazón sigue intacto,aún late con fuerza.😇👑
What a talented interesting man i never felt quite the same about DM after he left.
Alan and Andy were frankly the heart of Depeche Mode, RIP Andy :(
That's an… interesting take!
I'm getting emotional over a dude plonking away on his keyboard please help
soon you will return to play at a depeche mode concert,.,.,.
Я очень этого хочу! Я очень в это верю, надеюсь,и жду! ❤
When he said "Fletch also has sounds" I almost lost it....
Почему?
