Scotties Retro Channel

Scotties Retro Channel

A channel dedicated to retro television clips/programmes, ranging from game shows, chat shows, entertainment shows, World of Sport Wrestling etc.

Last year, I had an idea to create a KZread Channel following the passing of my mum. She loved scottie dogs, hence the channel name. So I'm delighted & over the moon to announce the creation of Scotties Retro Channel in memory of my late mum.

I would love to hear from the viewers, so, please subscribe to this channel and leave a comment saying 'I've subscribed' and I'll do my very best to respond to you.

Thank you so much.

    As Salvodore Bellomo he was in the WWF in the early 80s. This comes from 1973 I think because Kent Walton mentions it’s a UK vs Europe after The Uk entered the Common Market. I think there are other matches from this bill on KZread.

    Indeed! Firstly, "the authorities" would have deemed the legality of the sleeper hold BEFORE The Sheik was allowed to participate inn this country. Secondly, having seen the sleeper applied countless times in the US, I don't EVER remember seeing ANY wrestler "bring his opponent back" after he'd been the recipient of said hold. Lastly, I never knew Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie wrestled in the UK! I'd have liked to have seen him against someone like Johnny Wilson, Wayne Bridges or Pat Roach.

    This is superb. The Sheik!! Wants to take on Hurst, the ref, the crowd, even the St John's ambulance crew, and anyone else that comes along. His mad little dance at the end of round 1, too funny. The ending was so bizarre, lol, I'd love to see more of this guy.

    Super bout, this one, aggressive all the way through, with even the classic situation of the elderly lady trying to get involved with her handbag. I didn't know they could refuse to pay a wrestler's fee after the match for his bad behaviour as happened here.

  • @ScottiesRetroChannel
    @ScottiesRetroChannel3 күн бұрын

    An excellent example of a well-matched, rule-abiding, back-and-forth WoS bout from back in the day. Loads of wrestling down on the canvas, and both men comfortable taking it nice and slow, really working the holds and adding to the sense of an even battle. Tyrone looking especially sharp in his matching blue and white trunks and boots. Tyrone's legwork starting at about 18:26 is very nice indeed.

    Yeah I thought I'd give this a quick re-watch as I remembered Breaks getting thrown around quite a lot in it. He doesn't get posted but the nearest I think I've seen him come to one is at 4:46. It would be interesting to see Breaks reacting to being fully posted, no doubt an extended stamping tantrum.

    Greetings, fellow grapple fans. It takes Breaksy only 35 seconds to throw his trademark stamping tantrum. Lee is like greased lightning, his series of rapid rabbit-punches to Breaks' head is brilliant - look at Breaks' reaction haha! Then another tantrum this time directed at a spectator, with another to follow. No spoilers but this is an excellent all-round entertainment. EDIT : Lee is great, like Bolo from Enter The Dragon.
