  The first iron legion was not weak and dependent, all of them were unique Iron Man suit, as good as all of his best previous armors, most of them specialised in one or the other, some at speed, some had powerful weaponry, some were for sneaking, some for survival, some for deep waters operations, one for spaceflight, two were prototypes of self-forging suit, but that was dropped later until Nanotech suit was a thing, and some were even tankier like Igor. The thing was, that Extremis were PERFECT coutner to everything Iron Man suit was - near unkillable, heat based abilities capable of instantly melting his suits, self-destruction abilities evaporating everything in the area. It was only Iron Legion's speed and outnumbering that let them all win. The second Iron Legion was actually weaker, created only as riot control robots, so there was no need to armor them at all. It was the efficient, streamlined self-sufficient production facility that was the big deal.

  If you think Tony lost that fight with cap you’re smoking crack. He was outnumbered 2v1 and Steve was saved by winter soldier. Huge difference. Had that fight been 1v1 iron man could have killed captain America no problem

  Great video - the one thing that is not mentioned (or shown) is that Tony's armor is battle intuitive...think of it as a digital Taskmaster. Once it sees the fighting styles of someone, it automatically assists Tony in future battles.

  1:47 call me crazy(I might be wrong) but I don't think this was because of electricity but rather the whips, being made of metal(or something adjacent to it) that can cut cars, and other stuff was the main damage dealer(hence why he chooses to wrap the whip around himself to stop a whip and get close) 2:22 While with thor it was JUST electricity at this moment so that's why it absorbed it(also the suit has one of the most powerful energy sources) and maybe the energy source for the mark VI(apparently it's vibranium and fun fact: Tony apparently wanted to call it "Badassium") were coincidentally energy absorbent...
