Flamers should be indirect. Real flamethrowers shoot liquid flame, so you should be able to hit anything.

@@Neur0tic666 Unless the ploy (or datacard or whatever) states otherwise. In this case it states that the missess are treated as successes on your guy in combat. Also you don't roll armor saves on those, as far as we know.

Worthy champion seems to synergies with Rout. If your leader is scoring Rout, then they can get a 2fer with worthy champion. You can increase their survivability by buffing them to 3APL. I have started turn one with the blooded token on an early turn threat like the the sharp shooter and then swap the blooded token to another threat. The GA2 infantry are great for going up to an enemy and getting killed for the extra blooded token.

I do not know. Nightlords are definity more specialized as Warpcoven can switch some rubric marines for some melee birds and Legionaries can be played as full fledge melee, flex or ranged team, but they have super conceal as team ability and better melee operatives. You are rather murderous with some free MW to dish and can secure easily a kill. True, compared to elfs you are slow and clunky bit still rather OK team.

The team is really about stacking your bonuses. The ploys can be kind of underwhelming, but stacking your Blooded tokens with a reroll and/or relentless drugs feels pretty good. But generally it's all about the blooded tokens. If anything I don't mind only having to budget my CP for 1 Strat ploy and Tac ploy each, since there is a lot of thought put into putting your team together and managing your Blooded tokens.

Players will always beat players - Exaction Squad just won a major tournament and I'm sure somewhere out there in the warp Kroot have taken the top spot in a tournament once or twice as well XD

I give my Butcher Relentless in the Deployment phase and then let my Corpseman accompany the Ogryn in TP1 and 2. This way, you don’t need to keep the Ogryn and Butcher close to each other to buff both of them. So in TP2 (the Ogryn rarely has a chance to charge before that anyways), I have my Ogryn double buffed with Relentless and the 6+ FNP, a Butcher with Relentless and a Corpseman free to do mission actions, heal someone or just die (most likely) in TP3 and 4.

I use the Sharpshooter as another Dark Favour sacrifice piece. Retaining two saves in cover can help with that and he's good for picking off a model you left on 1w.

Actually, statically in the last tournaments, Kroot has gone up quite a lot. I think the metrics will show more in a little later vids. Maybe check roll a crits last tournament metric review.

I don't know about all the harlequin hate. Sure, the delivery system isn't there anymore and pathfinder with a rope is faster. But all the raw power is unchanged. The pathfinder won't ever charge you, autocrit you for 7 and shoot another dude to death. And when you go for a trade back, that 4++ with rerolls will ruin your day. The things the team lost are threat range and one way charges.

I’m in an Eldar server with a very active KT channel and they are still quite high on the Harlies. If it wasn’t for Mandrakes and Corsairs making my zipper break I’d probably be playing Harlequins.

Yeah I think their 'fall' is perhaps more about the high of mandrakes right now - as you say the delivery of fly is great but take that away and its a team that still has bite, insane close range shooting and longer range options. the 4++ makes it hard to reliably kill them via traditional 'big' guns methods.

The problem I think was some harli players just loved the team because they could ignore half the kill team game rules. And when that got taken away they frankly didn’t know how to play the damn game.

Mutagenic flesh is 'attack dice' in core rules attack dice are shooting and fighting - so it works for shooting and melee

With the meta moving to hordes teams that can spam high AP weapons. The 4++ save can really help out. I do like the comment that Tzeentch can just leave you high and dry.

These teams sound terrible. All these new nids, but no team. Genuinely, so sick of the "pseudo Imperium guard" teams. Where at Nids, Genestealers, Craftworlds, Custodes, Mechanicus? It's crazy that they keep making more "regular guys with guns".

As you say, it depends on the opponent. Especially if you’re playing a noobie. I’m down with even warning them that they’ve made a bad move. Even in friendly games, you should have a turn zero and discuss how you want the game to run. As in how tight do you want to be.

If I am playing a noobie, I’ll let them make that bad move, I will ask them why they made that move, i will show them how I could punish that move, then I’ll tell them to reset their piece and try again.

The old brood brothers box was a squad of old cadians (10 guys) plus a cadian heavy weapons team, and then a GSC upgrade sprue. So 11 models in total. The new cadian sprue is very nicely packed up with 10 guys with all the special weapons, sans sniper rifle. So if the rumours are true I imagine it's that new cadian sprue plus a new GSC upgrade sprue with heads, weird arms and other gribbly gubbins.
