    Hello Chris, good to see you back on YT. I like your videos because they are very down-to-earth and help us average runners a lot. I cannot really take much home from videos about 2h30mins marathon runs. Also without knowing, we ran the same Brighton marathons in the past. I celebrate your return by subscribing (finally) and I hope you will give us a lot of content in the future. All the best. Val

    Thanks Val. I'd love to be able to run a 2:30 marathon but sadly, like the vast majority of runners that will never happen. I'm just happy trying to improve as a runner and keeping it real in the process. Brighton has certainly been my most successful marathon, the two times I've run it.

    Great review, thank you. I’ve done 92 miles in the Ghost Max. It is also showing slight signs of wear on the outsole. My previous shoe is the Glycerin 20 (400+ miles) which I really like for its cushioned ride. I’ve found the Max to feel a little firmer but more responsive. When choosing the Max, I tried the Max and Glycerin 21 in the shop. Both felt super comfy but I chose the Max because I’ve occasionally had issues with my metatarsal joints and wanted to try something different. When it comes to replacing the Max, I’ll try the Max V2, Glycerin 21 and Ghost 16 in the shop but I’m currently leaning towards either the Glycerin or Ghost 16. Just my preference. All great shoes though.

    I've recently acquired the Gel-Kayano 28 and its AWL version. The plushest, most comfy shoes I've ever owned. I adore them, honestly. I'll likely use the regular 28 most in temperatures under 20°C, though.

    I have a love/hate relationship with hills. On my longer runs (more than 8 mi) the hills show up late, so I usually end up hating them. But, on my treadmill, they're not so bad.

    Nice one, great content Chris! I used to live up the road from Reigate so used to train on those very same hills! Moved to Devon 9 years ago and very similarly I have to travel to find anywhere flat to do any kind of interval speed sessions! A question for you, what mic and camera set up do you use for your videos, I especially like the "running towards/away" shots! Cheers, Steve

  • @HereWeAreRunning
    @HereWeAreRunning22 күн бұрын

    Thanks Steve 👍😊 I remember Devon from past holidays so can appreciate that it's pretty hilly too. In this video I used the Insta360 X3. I have a selfie stick with a tripod built in, so I can place it on the ground, run past it and when I edit using the Insta360 software, it tracks me. The audio on the camera itself it's great so I use a Rode wireless mic. The receiver attaches directly to the Insta360 X3 and I wear the transmitter. There is more effort editing with the Insta360 but I like the different types of shots you can get. My goto camera which I use in most of my videos is a GoPro Hero 10.
