Where in grand ronde oregon
What a beautiful piece of water and environment! Great to see such a healthy head of atlantic salmon. Thank you from Scotland.
I'm sure you get this a lot but I've watched you as a kid reporting school sports. As I grew up I grew a love for the outdoors. I continued watching your amazing content. I dream of fishing with you someday.
Beautiful work as always
Great video. Your stuff is always amazing
Wow 5 permit is epic
Good video but just wish it was longer
Hope all is well Greg! Hope to see you in April at the show in Anchorage :)
Love this video I’ve been fly fishing and fishing the Klamath river for along time it’s something else
I proudly own two Burkies. Amazing, American craftsmanship.
Great episode!❤
I’ve had my custom 9.5’ 6 wt Saltwater Presentation for about 17 years now and every time I cast it I ask myself why I ever use my other rods here in the San Diego bays and surf. It’s just simply exceptional.
Hope to have one someday!
👍
Looks like a dream
Another great video. Your stuff is amazing
Amazing! I want one!
I have the honor of having 5 Burkheimer rods and I fish with them in Patagonia Argentina, Burkheimer rods take me to another level!!!! Burkheimer rods are the best!!! Kerry and her guys are great people!! Nice video!!!
If you can’t see the take on the top while night fishing then where is the fun?😢
Just ordered mine and I can't wait to get it.
There must a reason why I have 14 of them... 483-4 perfect Driftless area rod, 590-4 great all roundee, their streamer rods are workhorses, and dont get me started on their two handers...
Thanks for this video. I had no idea till very recently this shop was located in my neck of the woods, and then to see they make rods to such high standards. I dont care if it costs a little more than the other rods I was considering - these are gorgeous, I will wait and save a little more.
I am fortunate enough to own two Burkheimer rods. Love them both! Best finished and performing rods out there!
Epic
This is absolutely FANTASTIC! Great work, Greg!
Good looking rods!!!
Had an opportunity to fish the Little Red River near Heber Springs back around 78-79. Took an overnight drive up to there from Barksdale AFB, Bossier City LA. Being from Pennsylvania, I needed a trout fishing fix really bad. I wish I had the time to fish the White as well, but this was just a quick weekend trip. Thanks for this vid, and the memories it brings back. Take care.🐟🐟✌🏻
used to live there and man do i miss the fishing!! caught many bayou slams!!
Hello Greg, Arkansas fishing looks great! We met you at tarpon caye 4-5 years ago when you were filming tarpon fishing. Do you still have the Alaska lodge? We’re going to placencia next week. I lost Sheldon and Melvin’s numbers.
Happiness is when my fave Idita guy, Greg Heister fishes with the awesome Littleleaf family on the Deschutes. Woot!
Good stuff but man there is more promotion than actual show.
This video needs more views!! I love the Littleleafs, and the Deschutes
Nicely done!
🎣
What a great video...!! It's now July 2022 and the river might not open this year to protect the dwindling native runs of steelhead.... . So Oregon fish & Wildlife post records of steelhead over the dam at Bonneville and we are at our lowest numbers since the 70's......it's bad....you can see the steady decent.....! Extrapolate that out and they are gone....! So if the entire population of natives becomes extinct.....will we just have hatchery....?? The posted dam numbers are grim....! What would ODFW do? Thanks just jim
Like a knife through butter
what a great depiction of working a fly on the Deschutes.. loved it. Very nice.. Praying for the Deschutes to recover for my own Steelhead endeavor..!
The only time I am at peace is when I am fly fishing or in woman’s arms. In between that time my life is turmoil.
Great video! Captures the natural beauty of the Green River. I live 60 miles from there - still try to catch my first fish ! It takes some know how but I’ll keep trying !!
Absolutely incredible couple of days on the water look forward fishing with you again hopefully some time soon. Tight lines boys!
Thanks Greg! I’ve enjoyed your films for many years. It’s always a great pleasure.
That's fantastic .... loved the vid👍
I've fished the PM many times for both steelhead and salmon. If you haven't done it, go. I haven't fished the Hex hatch but can vouch for the migrating fish.
Beautiful place and another great episode Greg!
Thanks Captain - we need to come shoot another with you one of these days
@@gheister Sounds good to me give me a call sometime
How the heck did it take me so long to discover this channel?? - good stuff! Fished the Deschutes for the first time myself last year and it did not disappoint! Thanks for the educational trip down the river - cheers!
Glad you found us Dan! Spread the word
I want to go!
Espectacular amigos!! Enhorabuena, que maravilla en Big Laxa.
I love Stealthcraft Boats… the best there is!!! Every detail thought out.
Best part of "Fly fishing" in this episode .... Not only does he have a leadhead jig on his fly rod but better yet, he has a chunk of bait on the jig also! Lol! "Fly fishing" for Halibut and Rockfish. .. How stupid! Who cares if u use a limber ass rod with line that sinks it still has a piece of tackle (leadhead jig) AND bait on the end! My question is "Why can't fishing just be fishing?" Regardless of what style rod, line, reel, or lure you use? One style or form is NOT superior to another like SOOO many fly fishermen think!!! That's a big joke! Usually the fly guy ties up a "fly" that more closely resembles the tackle\lure that "Gear" fishermen use to catch the species. Example - jigs and "wooly buggers" for steelhead- etc. Etc. Etc. Anyway, let's ALL respect our brothers and sisters who live to catch fish however they choose to do so with whatever Rod, reel, kine, tackle, lure, "fly", or bait they use! We're all in it for the tug and the serenity of the experience!
Great Content 🙌 Will you be @ NJ show?
