Next time, try gold flake with a red candy on top. That's how Fender does it.

Do you mix your background music as loud as possible? It's insanely loud. I can set my device volume to one notch above silence, and it's almost loss free, in terms of apparent volume. It's not to knock you, but depending on the music, it can be very distracting. Turning the volume completely down just has me hearing my tinnitus. Consider the viewer.

To the haters Unless you buy from a small independent luthier who pretty much carves everything, this is how your Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Squire, blah blah is made. Anyone who thinks their $1000 Fender is hand crafted by the grand wizard of China, is fooling themselves. Another thing, never buy a vintage guitar, the chances are its a fake. The vast and I mean 98% of vintage guitars on sale, are fakes, some good some bad some indistinguishable from the real thing, they are that good. To be fair, the title is a little misleading but hey, who cares.

Did you relic the hardware as well, or bought it as is? Could you tell us where to find that solderless conector for the pickups? Beautiful bass, BTW! Thanks for sharing.

It is, but you have to use a crazy amount of clear to burry it.

  • @andysaucedo3226

With 2k, you usually need two applications-spray, wait 48 hours, prep with 600, spray 3 more coats of 2k. Sometimes up to 3 applications of 2k. But if it's nitro, you may need to apply as many as 9-12 applications (27-36 coats). It can be done, but it will take you quite a while to burry all that flake. Also, the bigger the flake, greater than 0.008, the more clear that will need to be used to burry.

Scalloped fretboard guitars have a certain airy sound which works great for leads and OD but not so much for cleans. It's something you have to try for yourself. I built one and had an YJM and sold both, saying that, big frets are a good idea tho, I like them on 7'25 radius fretboards

The two E strings both looked very close to the edges of the frets? Did you make the neck/frets narrower or was that just a camera angle thing?
