  I own the 1.0 version. Every security system has a weakest link, and in this bag, it's the small diameter hole through which you slip a padlock. With that small a hole, you are not going to find a really secure lock to use, but only one that can easily be defeated by a brute force attack (break or cut the shackle), or is easily picked.

  Why were the YKK zippers and rain cover removed? It seems like a lot of features and functionality have been taken away and I can't understand why. And do the straps have two wires going through them or are they simply made with the Dyneema?

  @@Yowzoe nothing in bag form. The "anti-theft backpack & bag protector" from pacsafe is the best thing I could find, you can just use any bag and put it in the bag protector. But still a hassle to get it in/out of the protector.

  @@gwot somewhere I thought I saw a big Packsafe-like metal mesh that you could lock over luggage. Just got a used CB500X and a tail bag & dry bag duffel, and I am planning my first long excursion. It’s to California, and I’ll be driving through San Francisco and other places which used to be super-safe but which now of course are not, so I’m thinking about all the things I can do to deter crimes of opportunity. Today I looked for that mesh, and I couldn’t find it. I am getting the best chains and blocks and disk alarms, etc.

  @@Yowzoe That's exactly what I was referring to, they literally just call it "anti-theft backpack & bag protector" it's just a big metal cable mesh "bag" that you put your bag in.

  Definitely Confirmed Very easily Defeatable with the Cheap Chinese knockoff Dollar store Tin Snips that the devilishly smarter street person equips themselves with after the Bolt cutters of course. And confirmed way Marked up in Retail price for the simple stupidly Thin wire rope webbing Over $100.00 in Canada at full retail and I'm definitely Not buying it at full retail either, Waiting for the Desperate Mark down to happen. And they'll still make huge profits at $90.00 +. 7% tax.

  Clear on rotation direction However. IMO Too fast for an instructional demo. graphics cover at crucial point the press to enable slide of the buckle is not perceptible prior to opening
