  You really need to clean and sand the steel plate and sand blast the magnet to remove the plating so you have a good surface to bond to, otherwise it really won't adhere that well.

  Use distributed winding.. the size is too big for 1kW generator.!😅 My 5kW motor has smaller outer diameter..!

  Use distributed windings for a smaller size motor generator... The 1kW motor/generator should be half the size of the motor/generator you are building.!
