Never heard of this, I am in Oregon and rust isn't a problem because no salt in the winter. What is it compared to something like rubberized spray undercoating?
@blueoval25023 сағат бұрын
That rubber undercoating just makes the rust worse, it traps moisture. Woolwax is basically what it sounds like. Grease from sheep, it’s wonderful stuff.

That will 100% be a disaster in 5-10 years depending on where you live.. unless they prepped and cured any and all rust spots you will have rust enclosed in it’s own little chemical chamber. Rusting your frame from the inside out. Great if prepped right but 98% of the time they don’t prep the panels which in this case it looks like that’s the case I don’t see any indications of them prepping anything just a low spread spray on a spray gun and some skill. Anyone who sprays paint can do this and not overspray the real G’s are the ones who do it right.

Don't ever buy this kind of undercoating. It's a waste of money. The rust just forms underneath the paint. And actually causes more damage than if you just left it bare. If you want something that will actually prevent rust use fluid film, woolwax, or CRC.

Aluminum corrodes. It's called galvanic degradation. Most aluminum is coated in zinc. Once the zinc is exposed to oxygen, the zinc sacrifices itself. To protect the pop can underneath. It actually deteriorates at a more rapid rate than steel. Because the molecule is much more compact than aluminum. Thus, much more resistance to corrosion.
